家長對學校的comment, 很視乎那間學校是否取錄你的小朋友. 取錄了, 當然有讚無彈; 未被取錄的, 滿不是味兒. 我女兒早在9月已被取錄, 對於真道, 我也有由愛到恨再到回心轉意的經歷.

我自己覺得, 真道的 2nd in 進行 ...

是否上星期收到TEL WAIT UNTIL END OF DEC = 有希望, 只是等校長再三選擇最合入校的小孩及安排時間約見.  小兒是 11 月8日 1ST IN 的並交了PROFILE.

請問有冇人知還有多少個學位????

Picnic03, agreed with you.

I felt frustrated during the long long waiting time.... no body is able to give an answer.  BUT, once you have the chance to talk to Principal Yau in person, you'll understand this school better. So, cheer up..

I understand when things are not in the control of our hands, it's natural to feel frustration and annoyed. Especially the matters is in close relation to our beloved kids. However, too bad, waiting is part of the game. In fact, no matter which school you apply, the process is always at the dark. No school tells why they do this now and do that then; nor why they choose this kids, why they not choose that kids.

Rationally, I would try to understand why Logos cannot give any promise on the timing after the 1st interview is because the speed of the process is high dependent on the time availability of the Principal himself. He is very very busy, but insisted to meet the shortlisted applicant families one by one.

Why the other know very little about the process? I remember in the parent briefing session, Principal Yau emphasized that the admission process will be absolutely fair. In order to reduce any malpractice or corruption, the shortlisted candidates' name will only be in his own hand. Therefore, on the positive side, the process, though slow, is fair and is taken care importantly by the Principal, himself.

Thanks for your explanation.
However, I think in every systematic school, you will have people share your work. Anyway, I gave up on this school already.

I got a call from Logos last week asking us to attend the second interview this week.  It's an extremely lengthy period between the 1st and 2nd interviews - My daughter was first interviewed on 30/6.  I personally will not go as my daughter has got admission offers from two schools and is still awaiting the announcement of admission result by a private school.

Good luck to those of you who are still awaiting call from Logos.

My first int was in mid Oct.  Actually I have no expectation on Logos , since I have other offers on hand.  Just curious how they handle this process without causing further complaints fr parents.

While I can't say that I know a lot of primary schools as we've only applied for five DSS/PS for our daughter, I agree with you that Logos' interview arrangement is the most "special" I've so far encountered.

惡性循環 ! 越怪異、越多家長卻步、校長就越要找龍尾再龍尾的家長補位，何必呢 ?

YW、SPC、SPCC、DBS 校長何嘗不是親自面見所有 2nd round 的小朋友，為何惟獨這校拖得如此長 ??

Anyway，怕且都沒有太多家長再有興趣知了 ..... 可惜 ! 可惜 !!

小兒明年會入讀真道。我在小一選校階段才上BK的。在BK也看了不少留言。唔知點解，覺得「真道」確比較惹火。但總的來說，我覺得批評的都欠缺理性和公道。

像收生程序，各校都有自己的一套啦，人人又都不會只報一間。學校的理念很合你杯茶，又面試成功的，就皆大歡喜啦！但每間學校在收生近結尾時，都會再找候選學生補上有人放棄的位置傢啦！間間都無人鬧，但真道就會比人鬧！

學校有人打交，老師唔理？ 可信程度也十分低。我估不是老師唔理，是理的方法不合某些家長的期望啫。如果真道是看重學生自知，自覺，自省，自學，會唔會老師想少用權力壓迫學生悔改認錯，而希望輔導学生能自行化解爭執？我們那些少爺小姐們，解決難題的訓練，不在學校進行，還在那裹？

學校是社會的縮影，學生打架也是平常事吧！間間學校無人查問打架事件，真道就有人提「學校有人打架」？下下要報警，會否浪費警力？

當然，我是毫不知情的局外人。但記得教有四位天才兒女的教育家蘇緋雲博士，曾分享她是怎樣教孩子自己解決爭玩具的，就是收掉所爭的玩具，讓相爭者自行解決怎樣分享，再一同問她取回所爭玩具。她是不須要參予解決和用權力的。 孩子也漸漸不爭玩具了。

可能家長考慮入真道這類比較採用新思維的學校，也要考慮自己的態度能否配合，及給予學校一定的信心吧！

其實我都有聽過真道學生打交一事, 係我朋友的朋友讀緊後來都已轉校。雖然我小兒不是讀真道, 但都關心是什麼一回事, 希望現在讀緊真道的家長可以多加解釋, 會否當中有所誤會, 讓將會入讀的家長都可安心。

我都好明白你的心情，但喺我個仔08才入讀真道，所以都是靠一些讀緊真道小朋友的家長查詢平日學校情況，我有三位朋友家長的小朋友讀緊真道 (分別是FS1(自己親戚), FS2及DS3)，頭兩個對學校的安排非常滿意，資料比較update。而讀緊DS3的家長朋友對學校就有點點不滿，她覺得學校行政反應很慢，校長很忙，時時找不到他。但她亦表示，相對五年前，現在已有很大改善。她自已個人想阿女讀番傳統學校，因為她自已要番工，很夜收工，沒有時間同阿女一齊腦震盪，她說讀真道的小朋友都很活潑及自主，而且大部份都充滿自信，班中有一些小朋友比較自我及好動，所以覺得阿女有時坐唔定，最辛苦是隨時比阿女問到口啞啞。自已都要與時並進。

對於你提及的事件(未知是否屬實)，我不想胡亂批評，但是身為父母，為子女選擇一所適合學校是一個很重大的決定，我個人認為要從多方面搜集資料，有朋友的小朋友讀緊最好，因為有第一手資料，我甚至問我的親戚查看小一時間表，差不多日日入真道website查看最新的通告，看看學校的安排是否妥善。與其研究查明事件此未，不如利用多些時間與小朋友進行親子活動。純屬個人意見，如有不同意，多多見諒。

如有時間請進入其他所關真道的thread看看，知多d真道資料，才作出明智的決定 !!

希望你早日為小朋友找到一所適合他/她的小學 !!!
