My letter said they would put my boy under "First Batch Waiting List" in I send in the reply slip. Not sure if there are different type of replies. What did your letter state ?

Don't worry. From the last few years experience, there is a very great chance for the first batch waiting to have an offer after the registration (25-11-2005).  It is because some kids have been accepted by DBS or St. Paul's Co-ed.

Dear Ianmammy,

The letter I received mentioned that "my son's name will be placed on the (SECOND BATCH WAITLISTING LIST) if I return the slip to the school office between 26th June 2006 and 3rd July 2006 ", does it mean that there is a bit different from your letter since you son would be put on the (FIRST BATCH WAITLISTING LIST)?  Does St. Paul's College Primary School has sent several different version to different candidates?

綜合大家收到既SPC信, 有幾款:

(1) 正式取錄
(2) 1st batch waiting list
(3) 被邀請入 2nd batch waiting list
(4) 完全沒有邀請

在(2)和(3), 當然1st batch被取錄的機會很大,所以亦有份去briefing session.  記得去呀! 校長會有詳細解釋, 同埋可以了解下學校既教學.

不過, 我唔知有幾多人入1st batch waiting list.

According to the experience in last year, some kids in the 2nd waiting list were accepted by St Paul's Boys finally in July 2005.  So any one in the 2nd waiting list can do some proactive actions e.g.   provide more update information such as school reports and profile to headmistress,

Yes, the kids of 1st batch of waiting list have a very great chance to be accepted later.  It is because some boys applied not only St Paul Boys but also St Paul Co-ed and DBS.  May be some of these boys were accepted by DBS or St. Paul Co-ed.  So there may be around 10% vacancy after registration.  For example, one of my colleague's kid was accepted by both St. Paul Co-ed and St. Paul Boys in 2002.  Finally he choose St. Paul Co-ed.  After that, two other colleagues' kids in 1st batch of waiting list were accepted by St Paul Boys.

So I sugguest you to prepare another letter with more information to show your enthusiastic and hand it to Headmistress on the Briefing Night (25-11-2005).  Good luck.

Does anyone got a reject letter from St. Paul Boys?  We received a letter stating "re-consideration...." and we have checked with the school, they said the kid is on waiting list.  I just wonder, because we do not need to sent back a reply slip.  I think they haven't got any reject letter.  We feel very sad.   

Can anyone please share if you will attend their briefing on 25/11.

Actually, how many batch of waiting list and how many kids on each batch?  Anyone know?
