協恩VS德望，煩！

各位媽咪，appleapple,
多謝你們的寶貴意見，我最後放棄左德望SEC IN. 因為及時Reply我的三個媽媽都話揀協恩，咁協恩又真係o吾洗比學費慳好多。當然，如果o吾計學費，o吾計校舍（德望新校舍即將落成）我都揀德望。依家唯有見步行步啦！而且人地話津校轉私校易過私校轉入津校o麻！如果協恩o吾惦再試下去德望插班law. anyway, 多謝大家意見。到現時為止，我都係未有揀錯架，因為協恩大比數勝出。

I don’t understand the allocation of secondary school, can the student studying in private primary school join the government allotment of secondary school? How about I invest the money in the primary school and then get better eng standard then join the free secondary education? As I know, the allocation of the seats in the secondary school are according to the location of the primary school, but I can’t find any information on the school net that Good Hope is belong to? Please advise

jwmto, thanks. it's very helpful. my girl is canadian and i'm planning to let her go canada, maybe f3 or later. is it too late? is it better for let her study in canada after primary 6? but i really don't like the life in canada and i must leave my husband. it's not a "health" family style, right? can you give me some more ideas by your experience? thanks again.

Teachers' from famous schools ( of course not from GHS or HYS) will prefer HYS to GHS. And if you can have outstanding result from either school, you may still switch to other famous school after one or two years.

hi fannish, you mean my "culcalation" is correct? if i can keep my girl's Eng & others in good result, from HYS to GHS is possible?! right?

It's possible.. and why don't you consider other schools?? if you can achieve high result, you may apply for others as well..and I know some girls from GHS may transfer to schools like St Paul Co-ed or DGS.

My girl is studying at HYS and she is happy.   I feel safe to put her there.  She is learning more than my son in one of those 'prestigous' schools, in terms of activities and projects.  I did think about sending her to international school (as suggested by her kindy teacher as she is more creative than academic), but since she got in HYS through central allocation, we decided to give it a try.  I understand your concern about the English standard of HYS.  HYS English is not as difficult as, say DPS,  but in reality, whichever school you send her to, you still need extra tuition to polish up her English ( at Heep Yunn to supplement,  at Good Hope to catch up).  So I would rather spend the 3k+ fees on tuition and other activities, provided my choice is HYS.

德望固然是名校,但又不是至top,学校设施一般，且只是半日制，收三千几元学费我觉得不值。

STONES, 初初我去Interview good hope時,見到個老師(登記那位)Fully make up, 著晒see-through衫咁,重幾靚女,成個闊太咁look,我都有小小覺得"果然係傳聞中的貴族學校喎,連老師都貴氣過人"而且呢間學校咁嚴,睇佢d學生個unofficial forum,重有d講到佢地自己的老師幾咁"細利", 所以我諗都有可能架.不過後來同個女的舊同學媽咪講開,佢話老師好好,連校長都時時有機會傾偈,而且修女校長重非常nice.所以都係唔可以見到一個例子就當係真!協恩我唔知,但佢校園時常以充滿愛掛帥,老師應該要好有愛心.就算本身冇,可能都會因學校大氣候而變成愛心教師.但提倡以愛教育下一代的理念的林校長走後,唔知協恩又係點様,呢個都係我幾擔心的問題.但我相信林校長咁成功,後人應該都會依循途徑,唔會"謬"然改革掛?!

                    林校長走後，仍未知边位校長上塲，但無需擔心，校董會都好緊張。啲 HYG 喊晒唔捨得佢走。協恩應唔錯。
