       I want to let my daughter join the ESF summer couse. How about this? When do I start to enroll?

do you mean the ESF summer camp or summer term?  For the summer term starting on 29 Apr, I have already enrolled for my child.  For the summer camp starting on 17 July, last year I only enrolled for my child in late June.

Well, whether it's good or not depends on what you would like to get from attending the summer camp.  My purpose of enrolling my 3-yr old child to the ESF summer camp last year was to give her more exposure to English, rather than having any expectation that she will know how to spell "apple" and "orange" after the summer camp.  The summer camp (with 3 hrs a day and 5 days a week) had definitely met my expectation.  My child started to speak some English at home on her own, though not like a native English-speaking child of course.  However, I don't think the ESF summer camp for 3-4 years old will train up your kids to learn specific spelling, grammar and phonics.  That said, I am not sure about the summer camp for the older children.  Maybe they have a different curriculum.

my daughter joined the sports camp in shatin junior (ESF) last summer holiday when she was 6-year-old.  she quite enjoyed it as all the sport activites are either held in the in-door air-conditioning gym or swimming pool.  Comparing with the 音樂農莊 大自然小領袖 day camp which has alot of outdoor activities under the very very hot JULY, she prefered ESF more.   did your son join the summer camp or the sport camp?   what did the teacher teach and in case the kid couldn't express in english, does any chinese speaking teacher or teacher-aid will help?   i want my 3 1/2 year old son join this year, too thanks.

Then, for K2 kids, if comparing ESF's summer camp with Bristish Council's, which one is better ?  Any comment for both ?

For the English summer camp, are the majority of the students coming from ESF school or from other local schools?

ahk019: my child joined the summer camp last year, not the sports camp (which is only for children aged 4 and above).  my child also couldn't express in English when she first joined the ESF summer camp, but she understands more and more through exposure and immersion - just like learning the mother tongue since she was born.  I don't see much problem for a child who can't express hiimself in English in attending the class at ESF actually.  There is usually a teaching assistant for the 3-4 yr old class but the teaching assistant may not speak Chinese as well.

vhunghk:  Most students are from local schools, though there may be a few Japanese children as well.

slamyt:  My child hasn't tried the class at British Council so I can't comment on which one is better.
