LS vs DBSPD

Which one would you choose, La Salle or DBSPD?

Can anyone share with me?

SFA need $$$$ too, I think you should consider another subsidy school. Don't let your son enter SFA lar!

I vote for La Salle.

Both are top schools with good campus. Through-train system. They are at the same level in academic.

However, LS is well established but DBSPD is still green. I heard there're more than 10 teachers left last yr.

For location, LS is better.

Both are good,one is cost free an another -$3800/month.
I prefer to spend these $ for ECA or other enrichment programmes.

( but of course, if not compare with LS, I may choose DBSPD )

如果你吾係計交$3800學費, 一定係dbspd, 因為有質素保証, 各方面都好平衡

但LS 07年轉活動教學, 加上係政府學校, 好多學生都係抽籤而入到, 而家d 質素已經好"參次", 我個fd 個仔都好"也也烏"係入面讀緊, 各方面都好一般, 佢抽籤入左去, 都吾見得好好, 學校亦有好多e 類學生.....

certainly DBSPD.

i've came across with many lasallians with different characters, from both primary and secondary sections. however, both my and my friends' impressions towards them are not really good

but most of those DBSPD students i met are clever yet humble, as well as polite and self-confident

also the range of ECA in DBSPD is much wider, they even have japanese class for elective activities which can rarely be seen in other schools!

well of course, i didnt meet with all the students attending these 2 schools so it's hard to make a fair judgement

(btw this is my first post in this forum although i've been viewing this forum for a long time already :)

To be fair, it's not only the matter of the school fee.
The one who asks this question must be one of those who can afford and want to know more about these schools.

dbspd is through-train (全部直上) but no LS (only 直屬, 大部份直上)

some of the facilities of DBSPD are located on the secondary division campus, their students share the tennis courts, swimming pool, laboratories, track & field etc. with the secondary students.

this increases interactions between the primary & secondary students and DBS has done extremely well on the cooperation between the 2 divisions

I vote DBSPD, simply because it is an English School. All subjects are taught in English except Chinese.  They provide English environment and encourging students to read more books.  They also have less homeworks than LS, giving more time for students to read their books.

Also, the English standard in DBPSD is far better, say for an example, LS and DB using the same reading book, LS took 3 weeks to finish it but DB only takes 1 wk...their progress is faster... maybe their students quality is better.

They have more NET as well, LS only have NET lesson (oral) once every 2 weeks.  So, if you take extra  NET class outside, it costs even more than DB's school fee, ie.. market price for NET is $150-200/1hr.

I didnt concern their facilities though.

of cuz DBSPD, direct go to Secondary school ma~ it's very important. High standard and happy school life....
