小五澳洲回流 不懂中文 不入國際學校 有無其他選擇

有無家長可提供為回流小朋友選校之經驗?

very very hard ! My relatives dream that his son back from Vancouver can enter La Salle Form 1 & 3 !
But the fact all the school in Hk need Chinese and good Maths ! So they hard to find a secondary
school but need to repeat !!

And also if Good Primary school in Hk not easy to enter ! You imagine if Pri 5 they will collect the result for Secondary ! If 4 subject in the school , your son don't know Chinese but he can get English 100 mark
Maths 100 mark 常識 100 mark BUT CHINESE only 50 mark totally 350 mark divided 4 , the average
mark 87.5 only NOT Easy to be the Top !

So if a good Primary school they only choose the other Local school toppest student to apply !

My relative always think that his son in Vancouver is excellent to back to HK But also his son didn't know any musical instrument or Any sport !!!
You know in HK many student know Piano or Violin !

I told her already is her son got any Certificate about music or sport is Very Important but she said in Vancouver not consider Certificate !

可以試下深水埗嘅崇真小學國際部, 因為有中文讀,不過要$4仟幾一個月!

小朋友可以聽和講中文嗎? (我知道好多唔識write and read). 希望小朋友學習中文嗎?

若希望小朋友學習中文, 有幾樣野要考慮的:
1, 你希望小朋友學什麼程度的中文 (local school 的中文通常比IS 深和多 (in terms of hours at school)
2, 想小朋友學simplified Chinese or traditional Chinese (因為有些IS 只用simplified Chinese and in Mandarin, no Cantonese at all)
3, 個人覺得IS 比較難學中文, 因為學校的語言環境是English or other languages (maybe a French or German school) 而不是中文!

先講Local schools:
1,若果小朋友沒有居港權 (ROA) , 有些local 直資學校收費也不一樣, e.g. DBSPD 收 HKD 5800 instead of HKD 3800
2, Local schools 也有私校, 直資和津校, 收費不一! 若選直資或私校, 可以看學校中英教學的比重來選, 可以"就"到小朋友既程度來適合地選擇! EMB 的central allocation 則沒有這個空間給選擇, 但也可以去"叩門" 心儀學校!
3, 若小朋友先讀local school, 過一段時間都係追唔上或覺得太困難時, 這時才轉讀IS 也未遲 (but it is very difficult to do the other round due to Chinese difficulties).
4, 我想你小朋友困難之處就係年齡, 因為他已小五, 讀多一年便要上中學, 在短短一年內要適應語言, 文化, 生活節奏等等, 不是太易, 對他和家人有一定的壓力! 小朋友也可以重讀小五 (因為Australia 好似係5歲入小一, 係咪? 而HK 係6歲), 所以係HK 可以適齡重讀 級別~~ 唔使咁介懷級別問題, 只要適齡便可!

除了IS , 也有ESFs 和其他私校可選! 聽聞"培橋小學"都收很多回流學生~~ 這所小學也很注重中西兩文化教學!

雖然學習中文困難, 但有志者事景成, 不怕難, 多多鼓勵學習, 一定可以成功的! 努力喔 ~~~

回到大前題, 若不介意小朋友是否學好中文的話, 要視呼學校收生的方法, 若是EMB central allocation, 唔識中文,學校都一定要收(can't reject you), 但若果是"叩門"或直資, 學校通常問個小朋友中文得唔得...唔得通常入讀機會較少, 學校也提意把小朋友送到IS (但當然也有校長喜歡收呢類學生).

Hi Naughtyboy: Why don't you try KCPS - Int'l （蘇浙小學-國際班）at North Point.  As I know, they are using both English & Mandarin as their teaching medium.  But no Cantonese.
