想問讀緊這小學的學生家長, 我從小學概覽裹看到這小學小一至小三全面用普通話教授中文課的 。但很奇怪, 我今天打電話給學校想問問時, 一個無神無氣的女士跟我說不是, 他們只用廣東話教。請問其實他們是用甚麼話教?  

另外如果真是用普通話教, 那麼小三後會用甚麼話教?  謝謝。

禧年小學小一至小三是用普通話教學的,而小四至小六就會改為用廣東話教.
我囡囡於9月將會入讀禧年小學

Thanks Mimi for your reply.  

If what you said is correct (of course I really hope that what you said is correct), I really don't know why the staff there told me that they used Cantonese to teach Chinese subject.  Does it mean that:

• the quality of staff there is not up to standard or
• even the staff themselves don't know what language is being used for teaching or
• they claim they use Putonghua to teach Chinese subject but actually they use both Putonghua and Cantonese for teaching?

I believe that a student's performance in Chinese subject will improve if they learn the subject through Putonghua and it is a good way to learn Putonghua during their school life.  If they really use Putonghua for students of P1-P3, why not they continue to use the same language for students of P4-6?  Does it mean that they don't have enough capable teacher to teach Putonghua for students of P4-6?  Can the students accustom themselves to such a change of language?  Will the students' performance in Putonghua and Chinese subject drop if there is no more Putonghua environment for them?  

Unless they plan to use Putonghua for students of P4-6, I really wonder whether I should consider this school.
