學國際音標係唔係已經落伍?

見大陸教英文拼音用國際音標, Webster字典又用國際音標. 但我知英美的幼兒學拼音都是用Phonics, 究竟國際音標仲有無用途? 我地D仔女大個左又駛唔駛因為學查字典而要去學國際音標呢? 好混亂, 想清楚D, 有無人可以撫盲?

點解我覺得Phonics D 拼音方法好似普通話既拼音, 點解大陸要仲用國際音標黎學英文? 臺灣又要用什麼KK音標? 見暈     

希望有人明白我問嘜, 比D反應啦!

原本我想搵番我之前一個關於國際音標(IPA)同PHONICS分別既TOPIC俾你. 但係依家無得個以前個個SEARCH, 所以無得搵.

IPA, 要大約中一以上學才容易. 原因IPA教好多既發音, 要口部MUSCLE成熟才可以發成功的. 太細學點都學唔到. 同埋太多符號小朋友未必記得清.

不過, 年紀太大學又唔好. 因為, 口部MUSCLE跟母語有關. 好似我地講廣東話咁, 口部發音都會沿著廣東發音DEVELOP. 個D國語捲舌, 西班牙語既震舌等完全沒有. 所以, 大了無論點學都跟當地人不同.

至於PHONICS, 是幫助小朋友記發音, 串字的一些方法. 不能直接代替IPA.

I don't think so.  It is very useful and can help you to pronunce any English word just with the help of a dictionary.

If your children is at primary level, they can start to learn 國際音標, otherwise, it is not easy for them to learn & remember all those sound & sounds.  I will suggest you (parent) to learn it first, then teach your children.  When they grow up, send them out to learn again. In China, there are many self-learning VCD for children but I never view it and can't give you a recommendation.

Derrek Kwok has a class for both parent & children during summer holiday.  I guess he also has class for primary students.
