My son studies Letterland. Letteland mainly makes use of a lot of characters to assist the children to remember the sound of the letter.
For example, for letter A they call it "Annie Apple", for letter B the character is called "Bouncy Ben" so on and so forth.
I attended Letterland Phonics training session myself so I know what the material is about. Also, I make use of a lot of readers to help my son to read.
My son started reading English storybooks when he was slightly before 2 years old. At that time I held his fingers to point to the words and read together with him. Later he could recognize a lot of words and now he is 4 and he can read storybooks of primary students.
I have a friend living near me and her daughter cannot quite recognize and read English words. She is asking me to teach her daughter and I am still thinking about it.

any mommies can give some recommendation ?
As phonics should be able to help children to spell words easily. Please give me some of your past experience on Jollykingdom or Letterland.images/smilies/ ... |
