聽完19號個seminar, 我依然一頭霧水...

其實我已apply 左國際班, 聽完, 真係唔知自己有冇揀錯...比之前未聽更加迷茫... only 聽到:

1. international materials 會多左
2. 不會冇功課
3. 可能有extra課外活動, 不過未知係咩
4. 雙班主任制 (強調個net 係subject teacher,  本地老師才會full time stay在課室, 咁pth呢? 我聽極都聽唔明個擺位係點...)
5. 不是行ib
6. 收生準則. 唔係你apply就有得讀....

就係聽到咁多...加上現場問答唔比mic...唔係聽得太清楚...

其他mami聽成點呢 ?

其實我覺得校長唔想答家長既提問, 最主要係佢講左佢想講既嘢....

其實今日最好就係佢哋預備左N1-L3既上英文堂片段...好清楚明白小朋友既英文程度既分別! 睇到又真係好信任yor ...

我都覺得校長都係講佢要講嘅野...其餘的問題, 好似真係唔係幾想答咁。

講真, 如k2先轉international, 轉到咩 ? 位係咁多, k1讀完, 冇理由會轉主流掛...咁international又何以有位比主流果d...

我都認同全個talk 最有用就係video, York 小朋友英文水準好好, 對佢地辨學有信心, 但反而對馮校長表現好失望

1. 佢話會全力辨好international class  (包括親自選擇學生), 令學生提升兩文三語, 但點都解擇唔到課程去配合安排
2. 又講唔到本地、外藉老師嘅分工安排
3. 成日強調劍橋考試令York 小朋友英文好, 咁點解唔全歸入正统課程, 令全校York 小朋友受惠
4. 成個talk 嘅口吻感覺上係'信我啦, 我以我嘅名譽押落去新校..., 一定攪好去,信我啦!' ---- 大佬呀, 妳 or York 名譽關我鬼事, 我只係concern 妳有乜嘢對我小朋友有幫助


總括而語, 呢個talk 每個家長有唔同感受, 有d 可能仲帶住好多??? 離開

Hi all,

Honestly, this seminar is really made me full quite confuse as totobi claimed below, the principle did not describe the difference between "Local syllbus" & "international class"; and she just emphasized what she will put all her afford to make the international class "GREAT"

By the way, she may be extremely tired that her temper seems lost control; she hide the question from other parents...

Besides, the only thing that I felt good to be watched the video for the N1 to U3 which they are now studying by the "LOCAL classes"... they all looked great...

So, I am now keeping to struggle if i have to change to "international class" or not.

Honestly, there is only 4 more PTH lessons per week (4 x 25mins = 100 mins). If it's valued ?

How about your final decisions for choosing the LOCAL class or International class.

校長叫家長唔好問佢點分配學習時間,因為學習時間會有長短...所以好難話英文30分鐘..晋通話30分鐘...但係有家長問哩個問題...所以校長唔係好想搭...都有2.3個家長問...最後有家長舉手...都好似睇唔到o甘...就話開完...

我都聽到一舊雲, 其實本身主流已經教得好好, 佢不斷推銷自己國際班, 又講唔到有咩好~
總之叫人信佢.....

我覺得YORK 辦得一定信得過, 不過我又認為K1 小朋友暫時讀自流都OK....佢第日都有劍橋英文學啦...

其實個talk 淨係放映依家上堂情况 (英、普、 粵) ， 之後講international class 會平衡三方面發展, 咁咪簡而清囉。
最好由校長個仔親口上台講, 新 York international kindergarten 會由佢 directly incharge, 主要係進一步提升 York students' 語言, 咁咪仲好

我好記得校長講國際幼稚園係辦黎預備比個孫讀！！好攪笑...但我信佢真係咁諗! 但未知幾時有孫抱呢? ^^

上次聽, 佢話7幾年辦york, 係for佢個仔...點知個仔考全班尾2, 仲有個cousin考包尾...唔知個孫係點...

我都好鐘意呢間學校,但係我覺得佢地既學費加得太勁啦,
我半年前開始問,佢地話07年出世既小朋友學費3000,跟住2月份再問佢就話黎緊08年出世既小朋友就33-3600,而家仲話開埋4千幾蚊既國際班.....因為今年而幫小朋友幫k1,想問下咁多位聽完seminar佢會唔會講劍橋課程既費用,其他雜費一個月要幾多錢?同埋會唔會k2,k3係咁架學費架??我開始覺得佢d學費拍得住英基

不過其實佢地既目的都係賺錢.. 無理由要柬人讀, 有錢邊個唔想賺??  我諗想讀國際班既話應該都會讀到... hehe!

after attending the seminar, I really make up my mind for not enrolling the international class.  Bascially Mrs Fung is not too well prepared and she's quite reculent in answering parents' questions.  I guess she didn't expect there's lots of queries from the parents.  and from what i've heard from the other parents, I guess they are quite disappointed from the speech which she gave out.

honestly, from the structure Mrs Fung mentioned, I really dont see the difference in studying Stafford (also NET teacher as class teacher but fee is lower).  and most importantly, I am very concerned on the chinese level.  Surely english is very important these days, but nowday many primary schools also focus on chinese too.  

and there's one thing that Mrs Fung mentioned is that enrolling Int'l class is for faciliating going to int'l school (one of the reasons).   Since I am not keen on sending my kid to int'l primary school, I have made up my decision for not enrolling it.
