First of all, there is no CTY centre in HK at all. All courses are conducted on-line.
The admission requirement depends on the grade. If grade 2 to grade 6, you need to take SCAT. Please refer to the following link.

If the kid is studying below grade 2 (that's my case), you don't need to take SCAT right now. You can apply do a free-online test first to determine the level. Then you need to send them a IQ score before formal admission. It's a "buy-time" based. I bought three-month time for my son. It costs about HK$5900. If you can finish a course, pass an exam with good grade, they allow you to continue the other course WITHOUT paying extra $. I asked EPGY directly, they don't allow such flexibility. Nevertheless, since it's a on-line based course, there is NO NOTES at all. All materials are on-line and CAN'T DOWNLOAD. Of course you can repeat as many times as you like. On the other hand, you can accelerate the progress if you are capable.
