After watching the video, I don't think it's worth to let the kids learning in this way......except you are rich and consider to spend your money somewhere.
. Phonics learning is overestimated in HK. I read some post in this forum that they said their kids learned the a,e,i,o,u , five 響音, if there are only five 響音 in English, English is a strange language.
Phonic is very useful for children to learn to read and help children to learn the spelling as well. I agree with you that it is not useful to only learn vowels. Children should learn vowels and consonants at the very beginning when they learn phonics. After that, they should learn blending as well.
