Today received interview letter for K1, this year need to bring along an artictic work and DVD for interview....

Last year, they lost my son's application form after the interview and have asked me to provide some artwork to evaluate my son's ability. The topic is "home". I asked the school, my son is only 2, what do you expect from the artwork, it will mostly be done by me. The staff just said we can take some photos, drawings etc....

But finally I didn't submit any before the deadline (they have given us 1 week to submit) because in the same week I have received my top choice's offer.

I personally think it is not a fair system. And if you don't attend the parent's talk by the pricipal, you will definetly not get an offer.

想問你幾時交表, 點解咁快就知幾時面試? 乜面試都要自已帶嘢呀?
另其實約克好唔好? 國際同主流個邊邊間好些?

York will accept most kids. Not heard of any kids not getting a place.

My boy is small boy, while i was still waiting for 'child care class', i called the kinder and they advised me to send K1 form right away... 'cos the chance of getting a place for Nursery is very low....

The this means the KG is very commercial? Everybody will accept? they just want the money and does not matter on the quality?

But in BK, some moms compare this to Kenville & keenmind?!

Yes very commercial but also want to drive students to achieve with many ECA's. Can be very tough school.

Previous years they do the interviews before KV and SC, hence many students (1200) don't attend school after making reservations.

I heard that York is very strong in language. If they accept any applicants, is that means their teachers / child / child's partents are so brillant / working hard to achieve the results ? it must be a hard work......

and I do saw others compare York with 培正. are they competitors with the same level ?

我早2日都收到, 話18/9有簡介會, 2/10 in, 但冇話要帶artistic work and dvd wor. why?

I just ringed the school and they said they have different segments for interviewees, there should be more to come around mid Oct!
Probably we are the 2nd or 3rd round...but....i m wondering does it mean we have less chance than those in 1st round?????

I submitted mine on 23 Aug but still waiting for the reply till now! my wild guess is that .... they categorized the priority by special criteria but not by the submission date!!!

我都收到佢地封會見信都是10月2日早上10:00. 封信仲話如果9月18日去聽個簡介會會優先考慮收個小朋友. 但由於我仔仔剛剛才開始學說話我都怕咁早見會不成功..少左時間俾佢學講多啲說話..所以個簡介會我會去聽左先.睇吓是唔是真是會優先考慮取錄先.....
話時話點解佢在收緊報名同時就開始IN人呢?咩佢地每人收好多學生...怕到時IN唔切啊?

我4月時已經交form apply PN, 6月12日已經去咗聽佢地嘅簡介會, 仲即場交埋咗"到場証" confirm我有去聽過

前幾日收到信, 又要我去聽簡介會(唔知點解又叫我去聽多一次??)

我仔係0811細仔, 之前已經有兩round interview, 不過細仔就算一早交咗form都冇得interview, 佢地而家可能有位淨, 所以叫我地9月25日去interview (但係話係in N1/K1)
