A friend of mine has a child ( gifted, not proved ) was accepted by both shools. Which one would you choose, why ?


Please help since she cannot make up her mind now !

個人在網上得到的知料得知，覺得兩間都唔錯，出來的都會好有水準，但有個見解，學生背後的家庭背境，總是覺得某間的小學 d 家長好富有，我所知呢間家長好有錢，請補習老師都成2千蚊個鐘。

因為細路會比較，包括老豆老毋，可作為考慮之重要性。

會為優才放棄拔萃的家長，......還是極少數吧！

Dear all,

Thank all for your info.

Why I have such concern is

1. I read from 優才 info understanding that it is a good school for the gifted child.

2. Seems to me workload is not much.

3. Have a good teaching scheme from primary to secondary school. Teachers and pricipal has the heart to " devolope " child.

Of course the disadvantage

1. Mongkok school is small but I have read some parents using this school from P1 to P3 loved it since it has a good environment for the kids.

2. A new school for both Primary and School still lack of confidence right now.

For DBSPD

1.It has a good reputation but the disadvantage is
I am not rich so I and my son have the pressure from the rich.

2. Seems to me the teaching technique or skills for the famous school is less. I always heard that such schools have a good reputation because the kids are good NOT because of the teachers.

So if there are any parents from DBSPD or GT.


Please comment on it.

Please refer to DBSPD file, many few parents comment on it but GT file in BK, many parents said their children loved it.

絕對同意!

會為某些學校放棄拔萃一點都不出奇，但為優才放棄拔萃就真是極、極、極少數吧！想找一個例子都很困難。

在目前來講，優才沒有任何一方面比拔萃(DBSPD)優勝。真的想極都唔明那位家長還有甚麽顧慮在優才與拔萃間 ...

假如我都是有點富有，不用擔心和別人比家底的條件下，我都會選擇DBSPD。GT有其優點，不過未及DBSPD有保證。如果小朋友讀落不合適，再由DBSPD轉其他可能較容易。

Thanks for some parents have the input. No matter is for me or for my friend. It is a comparison. Everyone can if want to comment please comment. The point is the comparison not to comment on me !

I don't know why some kind of parents come out now to question me !

1) I have close friend whose kids are with GT.  The comment is really positive.

2) Of course you can find super rich parents with DBSPD, but it is better to say most are only middle class.

3) Gifted children are also common in DBSPD.

4) Really no need to claim the question is from your friend!

優才的孩子大都很喜歡學校生活, 小女三年級, 功課quantity方面不算多, 但程度不算淺.

孩子們的三文兩語都頗見成效, 有net teacher長駐學校, 小朋友都不怕講, 活潑開朗.

不會跟別的學校比較, 我認為孩子在優才有很好的學校生活, 沒有沉重的功課壓力, 孩子們快快樂樂的上學去.  只是看家長想為孩子挑什麼樣的學校, 優才是我們的首選, 孩子入讀後也沒叫我們失望.

優才 背後的家庭背境大部份來自附近較普通居民, 我樓上樓下的公屋鄰居都是讀優才(將軍澳), 他們父母大部份都是公務員, 消防員, 郵差, policeman, 學費交幾百元。

旺角校就不清楚。較大的細路會比較, 真的要考慮清楚。

我有朋友係專業人士, 小朋友都係讀優才, 讀私校家長大多緊張小朋友, background都唔會太差.

好多朋友都對優才有好高評價, 相反男拔只係sell "brand",  當然對某d人"brand"係好重要.

其實小朋友比較身世, 家底, 已經係好唔健康.

一個人人品係最重要, 個人最buy優才係佢對品德方面好注重, 每朝早我都會返學校陪囡囡參加早會, 老師好多時都從不同題材為學生進行德育教導, 用愛心去教育佢地.

係賣花讚花香 但我唔係話優才好過其他學校, 係作為家長帶出學校好既地方俾其他家長參考而已.

優才是好學校，而我亦不會輕視其他學校。

每人心目中都有把尺，或會有不同的價值觀，但最重要是尊重。
