I think children like to listen to familiar voices. :D

Maybe he will appreciate your effort and recite it well.  If you don't want to do it, try your husband. :)

I put up a multiplication poster on the wall of our living room so that he can read it any time.  (Some experts say children's visual memory is better than verbal input.)  Now my son can do simple multiplications at K3. :)

I recorded myself and played several times a day. It took 3-4 weeks for my kid to remember the table.
