Re: International Kindergarden first, local primary schools?
Jeremymama ,
My friend, who is a teacher, sent her daughter to international kindergarten since nursery. When she finished kindergarten, my friend switch her back to an English local primary school because of financial problems in her family. Her daughter was admitted by a few private famous English primary school and also one gover. sub. English school.
Certainly, she was quite good at English when she was in primary 1. However, she could not reach the chinese standards. Then, she failed in Chinese in examinations and were told to repeated a year to reach the standard. Even thought she caught up the standard in Chinese when she was in primary 2, however, as she has spent lots of time in Chinese, she couldn't do very well on the other subjects . She didn't join any activities but only attended chinese private lession by her mum during that year.
After finished primary 2, she changed to a local chinese school.
It is jsut one of the case I heard from.I think there must be some another successful cases.
