2 years old class in Yew Chung int'l

hi all bk members,

Does any of you kids studying in Yew Chung's 2 years old class?
Are they good? They said they are offer bi-lingual program (both cantonese and english). Are they sucessful to teaching the kids speak fluent cantonese and english? that would be greated if anyone of you can share your experience/ opinion with me. Thank you so much?

My situation is same as you because my son was born in 2003 Jan, and I will apply the 2 yr old nursey (YC or kingston) next year, I heard the YC nursey is good, but both of the two int'l school need the interview.

Have you visit both school? I think both are good too. But as the morning session of the two years old class in Kingston has already been full, so I can only chose either let my daughter to study in Tutor Time or Yew Chung as they both availale in morning session. The only concern for me is Yew Chung offer both Cantonese and English, everytime when my daughter heard someone speak cantonese, she will intend to speak cantonese rather than english. I am not sure if she can really learn english in Yew Chung.

其實佢地每個月都有介紹會, 昨日剛剛完了, 你地可以打電話去學校,south china,website都有登.

Hello! I also visited to Yew Chung on 9/6 and the interview day on 16/6. Are your son attend the class in this year or next year Sep. I want to apply 2yr old class (2005 Sep). Is it too early to make a decision?

i applied for 2YR old class for this Sept. and paid already.  I think you can apply later when your child is older, maybe Oct. this year, or ask the principal about this.  We have to pay the fee once accepted at the interview.

My son was born in Nov 03.  If I want him to apply the 2 YR old class in yew chung, when should I submit the application?  When and how does the school conduct the interview?

I like yew chung because it is an international school (expected to allow a child to learn more freely with creativity) with a bilingual education.  I am worrying that my son will not learn good Chinese (even if I give him extra Chinese classes) if I put him in schools like EFSs.  As I am new to this topic, can anyone share with me in this aspect?  Thanks.

我五月先申請今年九月, 你兒子05年十一月才入學, 應該打電話去問下, 而家申請可能太早. 佢地對兩歲無任何test小朋友, 只係校長與家長見面, 小朋友在旁玩.

至於你講國際學校, 我只打算俾佢讀一年(佢而家未夠兩歲已掌握到廣東話, 所以開始俾佢學英文), 再讀英文程度好的傳統學校, 因為我無打算佢讀國際小學.

As there are not many good choices for N1 and I want my boy to be exposed to English speaking environment in this year after 2 years' exposure in Cantonese which he can understand much.  My purpose is to let him go for the English interview one year later for CCKG.

You can enrol your son in Yew Chung for ITLP 1-2yr old class.  You can start in August or Nov this year depend when you want your baby to start to go for playgroup.

我個女從兩歲開始在耀中讀書, 在兩歲班中她學會懂得自我照顧及與其他小朋友相處 (因為她是獨女).  耀中希望訓練小朋友在閱讀的興趣及自立, 就算新工人來了, 與她的溝通也沒障礙.  (我的工人只懂得英語)

當女兒升上三歲班時, 她的廣東話及英文更加流利, 而且她在班中有兩位外語老師, 她都十分喜歡與她們聊天, 她們還有上普通話堂.   

我最開心的事, 是女兒非常喜愛上學, 有時她病倒沒有上學兩天, 便吵嚷要上學去 (有時我想她休息多些才上學, 但她便哭起來).  我從未聽過小朋友喜愛上學得如此, 她還十分喜愛做功課 (她期待取功課袋的日子快些來臨), 每次都想即日完成 (反而我卻想在星期日才完成, 因為可以多些時間)
