ESF interview for year 1 - born in 2001

Have your kid interviewed ESF primary school for year 1 already? Please share your experience.

Which school did your kid applied?

Yes, it was a group interview with 6 kids. My daughter told me that there were 3 teachers & they played Lego, drew a picture & a story telling. Moreover, the teacher asked her about her family.

We will know the result after chinese new year.

according to the information got in the interview, the age range is changed this year. for application year 1 in 2006, they accept kid was born in 2001 (Jan-Dec).

please correct me if i'm wrong.

Oh, really,   may be i have misunderstood. The teacher said they have followed hk government policy (age range) before. Therefore, i thought they have followed the local school age range (Sept-Aug) before. Sorry for the confusion.

I was told that if children was born in 2001 and did not apply for 2006 year 1 entrance, then in 2007 the children need to apply for year 2 entrance.  This is what they call the age range. Therefore, I rush my kid (born in 2001) to apply for 2006 year 1 even though he is not quite ready for it.

not yet. my daughter's classmates haven't received the letter from Bradbury too.

I called Bradbury today.  We have to wait for 2 more weeks.  Why does it take so long? !   I think SJS and QBS have already sent out the letters.  How about the other ESF schools?

I called the school again, they said the letter will be sent at the end of Feb.

We attended the interview today at KJS .
They offer my son a P1 place at KJS , commencing Sept, 2006.
