Dear all,

A friend of mine's daughter is studying at an elite secondary school. This school REMINDS their F4 students to get private tuitions in order to help their HKCEE results up.

My friend got angry about it since she thinks the school should try their best to teach their students. And should not push their students to get as much as As for the school.

However it seems normal to get private tuitions after school anyway. What do you think?

如果你的女女成績好好，當然不用get private tuitions , 如果不太好, 學校唔叫你都会考慮get private tuitions 。

任何學校當然想愈多A愈好， 最緊要係你朋友個女本身係唔係都覺得"愈多A愈好"。  如果自己認為成績冇問題，有信心上到預科，就不需要補了。

會考出去補習,多數都係想搵班專業人仕貼吓考乜,我覺都無問題丫

我都覺得出去補習無問題，當然學生本身不能上堂不聽書，旨意晒補習班俾的貼士啦。

溫故知新可以打好基礎，加上補習班的老師為了招來更多學生，都會很用心去叫同學做past papers同貼題目的，學習一下考試技巧對提高成績也有幫助呀！(而家好多名校的老師上堂時都只是依書直說，想取好成績是要自己想辦法的了！) :cry:

Thanks for the replies. I agree with the idea to get extra private tuition to get help. But as my friend added, the school also mentions .......the more private tuition students take, the more 'special care' they could be got . That's why she got so

I didn't ask my friend what does the meaning of special care. In my understanding, I think 'special care ' is much better than 'no care'. Anyway, it shows a kind of infairness in toward teaching.

我會話大多數0既學校從來係英才作育而唔係作育英才, 讀書真係要講天份及靠自己, 不過講到出口話要d學生自己出去補習0既就真係比較少見, 換個角度睇, lei 間學校都算有良心同先見之明, 及早提醒d 學生同家長做好准備,好過坐0係度以為學校可以培養出幾多位狀元........

my ex-sec.school is like that:
much more As students they get, they will have more extra bonus

So they will more focusing ("care") on those potential students.
