由傳統小學轉讀國際學校

請各位有心人給我一些意見!

女兒現在就讀傳統小學四年級。因女兒身體不大好，所以每天需要睡10至12小時和做2小時運動。如因功課忙、測驗或考試時，不夠睡，便很容易/常常生病。

1)   因本人對國際學校不太熟悉，國際學校的功課會否比較少，測驗和考試--是否會比較輕鬆或甚至於只有評估而沒有測驗考試?
2)  本人住在南區薄扶林，那一間國際學校比較好和較容易收轉讀生?
3)  不知道把女兒轉到國際學校，會否對女兒會好些?
4)  女兒的英文水平只是一般，是否需要惡補呢?  可以從何入手才能夠較容易被國際學校接立申請轉讀?

請各位有心人給本人一些意見和方法--如何為女兒安排學業?

International school may be more suitable for your daughter, homework, tests and exams will be less, spend more time in reading, discussing and writing.

There are a lot of international schools on HK side, I am not too familiar with HK side, I remember that there are ISF, ESF, CNIS, GSIS, HKIS, CIS, FIS etc. You can search from website.

It is not easy to get into international schools.  If English is not very good, may try to enter schools with ESL such as Delia Canada or IS-alike schools such as Victoria.  Just my personal opinion.

There is one in Wah Fu, called Kellett School.  It is cheaper than a lot of international schools but a bit more expensive than ESF schools.  It is not too big, but is a very nice school.

Kellett is a good school and has a long waiting list.  It has no secondary school.

I live in Kowloon side. Do you have any International (Primary) school to recommend? In general, when will be the application starting date? Open throughout the year?

I actually don't know how to start/apply. Would you pls advice. My girl will be P1 in this Sep. Yes, I've been too late for making this decision. In case I've missed this round, I'll try again for P2. Pls help!

On Kln side, you can apply Yew Chung, Kingston, CAIS, ICS, ESF... Most have long waiting list, Yew Chung may be easier as it is more expensive.  Or you can try applying ESF Renaissance College at Ma On Shan which will open by Sept 06.

You can check info. and apply through reading the school websites.

Agreed, try Renaissance. It should be a good school.

P1 (local school) is equal to P2 in most international schools.  So if you girl is going to be in P1 in this coming Sept, you should apply P2 (international school) for this Sept.

I heard that Renaissance P2 for this Sept is already full.  You can try CAIS in Cheung Sha Wan.  This should be easier to get into.[/quote]

As I know, CAIS is in Kowloon City.  I guess hesheit can apply different schools for the school year 07/08 instead of 06/07, so as to allow more time for more choices.
