I think ICS is accepting kids for next year now...I think you better call and ask.
Where do you live?  GSIS is in the H.K. island, but ICS is in Shatin.

Hello,

Does anyone know anyone whose children have been accepted into GSIS ?  I personally don't.  All of the people I know didn't get accepted.   Getting admitted into this school is quite hopeless.  Anyone mind to share their experience, either as a prospective parents or current parents ?

We are considering GSIS but we also know that the chance is very slim.  We don't hold much hope.  But we are curious to know who would get accepted into this school and how ?

Personally I don''t like GSIS after the interview, the teachers are not nice, no smile and quite rude to the kids.

When we have the parent's meeting. the principal 's first sentence " I will leave next month and the school will have big change"

I think you have to at least know someone in GSIS in order to get in.  I personally don't believe in school system like that.  Does it mean that this school is a good school?  I doubt it.

I heard too many positive comments about the GSIS, I may even let my sons try even I am living in N.T.

What grade your kid applied to ? Is your kid nature english speaker ?

Yes, my little one's first language is English.  However, that's not good enough to get admitted into GSIS.  Most of the children I know who failed GSIS spoke perfect english.  Language wasn't a problem.

My daughter now 8 months old, when do you think I need to apply for the GSIS? If I buy the debenture from them, is it easlier?

Hi ecpillow,

I personally do believe the order of the application has anything to do with the admission into GSIS.  It might but don't think it is a strong factor.  I think the child needs to demonstrate certain qualities that GSIS believe is outstanding in order to get accepted.  But this is something no one really know what it is.

I don't think they are selling any corporate debentures now.  As for the personally debenture, one only needs to buy the debenture if the child is accepted.  So the answer to your question is no because the personal debenture plays no factor in the admission process.
