Yes, my son was also learning piano last year (he continue to learn both till now…but really need to spend quite a lot of time if keep learning 2 instruments…).
APS said piano is not on their instrument list, coz there is only one or even no pianist playing in orchestra.
I found percussion is easier to pick up when compare with other musical instrument (my opinion only).
And it is quite similar to piano in certain extend….However; it is quite difficult to find a tutor outside.
