My son is 3 years old...and school will take them to mount austin playground ...should i let him go....is it safe anyone pls share

Why not? The students are accompanied by teachers and assistants right? They are taking the school bus to go there? What are your major concerns? Have you talked to the school staff about your questions?
My son also went to Mt. Austin Playground at the Peak for the school outing last year.  I volunteered and accompanied my son's class.  It was a big park with lots of room for the kids to run around and with a nice playground. My son and his classmates had lots of fun going there.

Thanks gab, I still dont know whether let him go or not. Cos I cant go with my son on that day. I am worrying that the teachers cant take care of so many students at the same time..and the students might easily get hurted or lost . I think i should call the school and checked with winnie...Thanks for advice.....

I feel a bit late to see your posting here only on today!  I did volunteer to help out in the outing last Friday and all of us were having wonderful time in Mount Austin Playground.  It's just a bit pity that we got stuck in the peak on the way to school for quite a long time after the outing as there was an overturned lorry.  But I was surprised to see the class teacher being able to maintain good spirit and cheer up the kids without complaint and difficulties in the school bus for such a long time!

Which class is your son in?  Mine is in Class 4.  There were two class teachers, Mr Shek and four parent helpers (including me) looking after the children.

I think your son should be in the same class 5 with my son.

My son also went to the Mount Austin Playground last Friday and I had the same worriness as yours.  Did your son go there eventually?

BTW, I wonder if you have the same feeling with me that there seems not to have enough communication channel between the school/class teachers with parents.  In other words, we are not easy to know "how are our kids at school".  Winnie is not the class teacher so it doesn't seem so fruitful in talking to her about your kid.  It always seems that the class teacher or assistants there are too busy to talk with us.  Even if they are willing to, they don't (or can't) tell anything specific (but just some general comments like "he is fine......").

Forgive if I am too demanding about that as I really want to know how my kid is in the class?

Mrs Morton is a very good teacher and my son was so happy to be her class last year. He would come home telling us what he did everyday and sing us the new songs he learned!

jmonkeypuppy: Have you tried to make an appointment with your child's class teacher to meet after class?
We have talked to my son's teachers this way a few times and learned a lot about how he is doing in class in detail, and what the class is learning during that month.

Tomorrow is parents' evening and I have a lot of questions for the class teacher!
