RC interview and offers

I have been told that RC has accepted almost all applicants studying at Boxhill.  IS there anyone knows if it is true?  My daughter hasn't got any interview yet.  Has the school finished all interviews?

Last year Boxhill Had 10 Kids apply RCHK but I tell you only 3 kids success !!!

Another interview will be conducted in the early of February.  You may recieve a letter at end of this month.

I know a girl who is studying in Boxhill was rejected after interview by early of Dec 2006.

One of my friends' son got an interview on 2/12 but has received no reply.  My daughter does not study at Boxhill.  DO you know if RC interviews every applicant or selects a few for interviews?

對呀。我女兒已經於12月20日收到信通知被取錄入讀2007/2008年的Y1。亦要於11/01/2007前交deposit，否則就會當作棄權了。

但我個月有個同學仔係同一時間報了SJS和RC，SJS放了她係Waiting List，而RC就一個interview都無俾她呢。要她一定要放棄了SJS的waiting list先會再考慮安排interview。

I submitted an application form for my daughter, Dominique before the deadline but has received no reply regarding the interview.  I am quite angry if we, as parents who are obliged to pay the $800 dollars application fee were not informed of the school's interview policy in advance.

我剛為兩個小朋友報了RC,  沒有考慮其他IS, 因為喜歡RC的中文比一般IS多, 家長口啤又唔錯. CROSS MY FINGERS, 希望遲些會收到INTERVIEW的消息.

I submitted it in person before the deadline.  I've just sent an email and asked.  I will see how they answer me.

When I called RCHK before, they said they didn't have a deadline for application.

On the application form of ESF, parents need to declare if they had submitted an application to RCHK as well.  They also need to indicate which school they prefer.  If the applicant prefers ESF, then RCHK will not grant any interview until the applicant fails the ESF interview, or when the applicant decides to drop ESF.

I got a friend who's in the same situation as your friend.  Her son didn't get an interview for ESF in the first round, i.e. on the waiting list now yet RCHK would not grant her son an interview unless she dropped ESF.  What sort of a policy is that?

Parents are not informed of such policy and I do think it's not fair because RCHK demands an $800 application fee yet they might not process the application at all if the applicant has applied for ESF.

Yes, what you have said is totally correct.  That's why I will call RC to ask more about their policy and the reason for not informing us, those who have paid $800, of their unreasonable policy in advance.

其實在我未入紙申請時，我已經打過電話去問過兩個學校，他們都說他們會有interlink的system會知道如果學生是同一時間向ESF多過一間學校申請的學生的。

如果是但一間給你了Interview的機會，那另外一間就會將你的Application Form hold住唔會process的，直理那一間明確的決定了沒有位給你的小朋友，另外一間方會開始process你的申請。但那時都已經相當之遲了，因為在第一輪的時候，已經選出了他們認為合適的人數去fill Year 1的位置，而要在這批合資格但又無交 deposit的人數方會給係Waiting List 上面的人。

你想想當是但一間學校最後通知你，你小朋友的申請不成功時，再到另外一間process，我都唔知那時的輪候位置係邊度了。

所以那時學校已經說明了，他們會process那些只係申請一間的學校的小朋友的申請表呢。因為係誠意和proprity的問題掛，我估。

The application form of RCHK didn’t ask you if you had applied for ESF school but the form of ESF school did and they asked you to declare your priority. RCHK told me that they didn’t expect to fill all the vacancies in the first round (Dec 2) and so another interview would be arranged.

Thanks for explaining to me about the ESF's interview system.

I just sent the application form last week.  I don't think RC has got deadline for the application.  I was told by the office Admin. that the first round of interview was finished and they will put my son's year 1 application in second round of interview which will  be arranged around Feb.,07 and my daughter's year 4 application will be probably arranged around April,07.  From the tune of  lady, I suppose there are still many seats reserve for Year 1 in the second round interview.  

TszChingMaMa, Have you sent an email to RC already?  Will they put your daughter's interview in the second round? How's it going?

Thank you for your concern.  I received a call from RC this afternoon.  The lady said she had checked the record and an interview will be arranged in Feb/Mar.  She asked me to wait patiently.  She also emphasized that priority will be given to those who apply RC only.
