Re: Secondary Section in SIS
SIS placed advertisements in SCMP in the last two weeks inviting applications for its secondary section.
You may wish to take note that the education system in Singapore is a 4+2 system. In Singapore, after form-4 (Year 10), students will sit for IGCSE which is comparable with GCE O-level or GCSE in the UK.

After 2 years of pre-U or junior college, students will sit for A-level exams.

My personal view is that SIS is different from those western international schools and is very much an exam based school with a solid curriculum. Some parents in Singapore are complaining about the pressure from schools just like the parents in HK. However, Singapore students are very competitive because of their language and analytical skills. Also, they have better disciplines.
