My son is in Y1. He quickly adapts to the new environment and routines, and made a few good friends in 2 weeks' time! Teachers are friendly and caring.

Thanks Gab. My daughter will join Bradbury school w.e.f. 2 October, so I want to know more about this school. By the way, which kind of food you prepare for your son during lunch hour?

Hi Grapes: Is you daughter going to Y1, which class?
I usually pack sandwiches, hotdogs or pasta with veggies for my son. For snack, he brings cookies/crackers/cakes with fruits. I only give him small amounts. He will bring a water bottle plus apple juice or vitasoy to drink. They have 25 mins. to finish their lunch before heading down to the playground. I think the snack time is about 15mins. long.
Hope you daughter will have a wonderful school life at Bradbury!

Thank you. My daughter will join Grade 5 next week, she is worried that she cannot make new friends there. I will accompany with her to go to school on the first school day. Have you arranged any Chinese lesson for your son?

Hi Grapes,
Whenever you need help about general issues of the school, your daughter's Class Mum (Class Parent) will be able to lend a helping hand. She can also help you arrange Play Dates with classmates which is a good way to make new friends at the new school. You can also volunteer as parent helper during class time or lunch time to help out and at the same time see how your daughter is doing at school.
My son has been taking Putonghua classes on Sat. since July. I'm also teaching him Traditional Chinese characters and Cantonese at home. He is still adapting to the full day school schedule and is very tired after school so I didn't sign him up for any extra curricular activities after school in the first term.
I'm sure your daughter will do fine!

How do I know which one is her class mum? Will u join the PTA fair to be held on 1 December? Sorry for asking so many questions.

Dear Grapes: As told by the PTA, everytime a new student joins the class, the Class Mum will usually email / call the parents to welcome the student and parents to the class. You can always check with her class teacher for the name & email/phone number of your class mum.
We'd love to participate in the up coming school fair since it's for the benefit of the students and only held every other year!
It's nice to be able to meet other Bradbury parents here!:D
