各位媽咪,

眼見小囡係現今既教育制度下成長, 真係幾辛苦, 本人想替小囡插p3/p4到國際學校, 因本人英文麻麻, 所但我暫時去過耀中的雙語seminar, 當日有到耀中小學參觀, 但裡面多數係中國人, 如以學費來說, 真的數一數二, 我想問有無朋友讀過, 係咪值得推介呢? 而插p3-4去國際學校係咪好難呢? 係咪要家長既英文好好先可以讀國際學校呢?

不好意思, 實在有太多疑難喇!

請問你的女兒今年幾多歲?  耀中裹的確大部份家長都是香港人(90%以上), 而說國語的都有很多。

如果小朋友的英文或國語未能達到班上的要求, 老師會安排他們於這堂去小班上課(其餘都在大班上), 直至水準達回標準才把他送回大班上。

不用太擔心, 我的仔女每天都高高興興地上學, 傱來都無話唔想返學的。只要小朋友喜歡上學, 喜歡學習, 成績可以慢慢追回的。

我啱啱入咗兩歲申請表, 因為見個女上次去耀中都幾開心, 可能課室夠大. 但我都好想知佢地係咪中文強, 而英文較普通?  
有冇由k3主流班升上小學的資料? 聽講都入都名校, 請幫幫忙!

我的女兒是二歲讀到已家三年級, 但當她們將升上一年級的時候, 真係有不少的家長申請到去拔萃小學、喇沙小學、瑪利諾......

我也有見到有家長於開學幾個月後送返個小朋友返來讀的, 原因係每日小朋友都唔鍾意返學(名校有壓力?), 同以前係耀中時每天高高興興上學去的態度差天同地!!!

忘記咗答你.....中文(普通話)我想是國際學校裹都是數一數二, 真的很深, 要求頗高。英文就一般啦, 但學校要求學生自己要去讀好多英文書。

我想, 知識是終身學習, 只要你的小朋友喜歡上學, 培養看書的習慣, 有什麼理由去把他們的童年埋葬於現今的教育制度下呢?

成長......不應有壓力, 不應係辛苦的!

多謝你的回覆, 囡今年快九歲, 現在讀p3, 想佢係思想空間較大既情況下學習, 咁我想問下完成小學階段後, 中學會否好多人都會揀返耀中呢? 你又覺得校風怎樣呢? 老實講... 耀中既中學靚過小學好多, 同埋學校會否要求家長每年都要買bond呢?

我都有意比BB一路讀耀中，但想問下小朋友在耀中讀到5歲時，中英數程度是否追得上本地學校？因為現在未想定小學中學讀本地定國際，有D擔心讀落去就出吾番來！請指教。

my bb is 0612. he will hv an interview next week. do u know what the interview is about? which session (am/pm) does your bb attend? do u think your bb can benefit from their Eng/Mandarin environment? sorry for asking you so many questions. cuz' i'm still struggling.

it sounds like that you're applying for its 2-yr old class but not playgroup?  Eng/Mandarin env. is only applicable for its international class at or above 2 yrs old but not playgroup.  My bb is studying in its pg AM and the language is Eng/Cantonese - quite good (better than Victoria according to my personal experience and opinion).  Since my son is in its pg, I don't need to attend any interview for its 2-yr old class (a seat is automatically reserved) so I'm afraid I can't give u any hints la.  I support Eng/Mandarin env.!

but i asked the lady that whether my son is applying for pg or 2-yr old class, she said it is 2-year old class. the fee is $4xxx for 3 days.
let me call the school to clarify this tmr.

不要客氣, 只希望能給你一點少少的意見。

我的兒子今年9歲讀緊5年班(女兒三年班), 而我都會比他直升上中學, 因為有打算完成中學後才送出去讀大學, 所以並唔會轉校。

其實如果學校不是有太大的問題出現, 不轉校比較對小朋友好, 原因係他們開始步入青春期, 會有自己的主見, 情緒時有波動, 全新的環境(尤其是學校的轉變、要從新認識新的同學)會令他們不安。

耀中中學真係靚過小學好多, 而債劵:

所有耀中國際學校(中學)學生必須購買債券。 擬於2007/08學年就讀耀中國際學校(中學)的學生家長，須於2007年3月購買債券。耀中提供私人及公司債券，兩者價值同樣為港幣$200,000元。私人債券是以私人名義購買，而公司債券則以公司名義（為其股東、董事或僱員之子女）購買。若有多於一名子女於耀中國際學校(中學)就讀，耀中會以遞減式計算債券金額，詳情如下： 一名子女 $200,000 兩名子女 $300,000 三名子女或以上 $350,000 無論學生因任何理由退學，學校會於學生退學後的兩個月內不附計利息全數退還債券金額。退還債券必須根據購買債券的條款。 如有查詢，歡迎致電 2336 3443 與學校聯絡。

校風都可以接受, 我有二個親戚的小朋友都是在耀中中學的, 評語真的不錯, 但有時真係要看小朋友自己的本質。

耀中的家長有好多都是專業人士, 管教上大多數都不錯, 並不是太多只管寵壞而不大教的暴發呢!

不太多。

小學：今個學期$1,335，全年共3 個學期

中學：2007/2008學年雜費, 每學期$1,175 全年共 3 個學期

Hello,

My son has been admitted into the 2-yr old class next year.  

My son is rather active (never sit down for a while) and requires much attention.  That's why I would like to know more about the school, particularly about the class size.  
Could you tell me the number of 2-yr old classes they have ? the teacher to student ratio per class ?

I would also like to know about the Eng standard of students studing there.  Do you know if most students choose the local stream or international stream when they proceed to K1 ? Thanks a lot.

it's not an interview at all.  i went to the school last Sat. and met the principle, Ms. Kam.  She only talked about the school philosophy and asked if we have any questions about the school.  If not, she then asked us to do the registration.   No "interview" question about the child or on parents.  

are u applying for 2 yr old class ?

but i have applied for ITLP. that's why i'm a bit confused.
my son will be 1 year and 8 months next AUG. he is not yet 2 years old. how can he join the 2-year-old class?

btw, do they "TRY" to talk to bb during the interview?

I also have been waiting for the ITLP for nearly half a year already.  I asked Ms. Kam and she told me that there is unlikely any place in the am class up to next academic year.  Bascially, she is suggesting us not to have any hope.  The chance for pm class is also very very slim.  

You could submit application form for 2 yr old class any time from now.  

at the "meeting", my son have walked around in her office and Ms. Kam has talked to him.  But based on my observation on other people as well, the focus is really not to "interview" the child/parents.  It seems that they have decided to admit your child once they called you.

Just to share with u about my application experience for ITLP:

I submitted my application in Jan this year, and was admitted to ITLP p.m. class (no vacancy for a.m. class already) in Aug.  The meeting with Ms Kam who is very nice was indeed not an interview but a general conversation.  then my son was admitted immediately.  he was able to change to a.m. class after one month and now he is very happy in the school.  

I know some kids in the class will reach 2 years old soon and should be upgraded to 2-year class soon.  Once a bb has reached 2 yr old, he/she will be 'promoted' to 2-year old class.  Then there should be a vacany and a new bb can join the ITLP.  Maybe Ms Kam's advice is because there has already been a long waiting list?
