| I agree that most can get into elite boarding especially in lower forms. 
 My friend and elder son's classmates were admitted by Winchester, Tonbridge, Harrow, Oundle, Abingdon, Kings Canterbury, Brighton, Charterhouse, CLC, Badminton, St Mary Calne, etc for Grade 8 or 9 several years ago - all are so called UK cream schools by the agency. It seems that the entry for these top notch but quite expensive schools are not too difficult in lower forms.
 
 For Grade 12, if you target for top 50 ranking schools, all my friends' kids got at least 25 marks in school cert - much more difficult than entry in lower forms.
