小兒計劃明年英國讀Year 10，已報考Worth /Schoo|，另agence建議多報Denstone Co||ege，說此校排名，成績都比Worth好，另比較兩間2011 |nspection report，整體都是Denstone好，請給意見.

英聯。點好？因她之前比我的排名有出入，Denstone排前過Worth，已叫她跟進。有無好agency介紹？

Go to the British Council for the Good Schools' Guide which gives you more insight into each school including the background of the head teachers. That is what I did with the rankings the agent gave us.

In fact, you can't trust too much on the ranking.  Different company uses different rulers.  Here, the local people doesn't care the ranking because all school has students go to Cambridge and Oxford. It all depends on the student's own ability. Most of the private schools are good.  Small scale has better caring.  Big scale has more activities.   Depends on what you want.  You can't have all because there are conflicts in between.  If you want very high rank, must be more expensive, must be many HK chinese, the locals are more rich and the chance of bully will be higher.  Your kid will be with the chinese because of the comfort zone.

多謝你們的意見，當睇多些資料越發覺每個發佈Ranking都不同，只要比較成績，校園環境，活動和對海外生的支援.

Browse their websites, and request for their brochures.  They will post a lot of information to you.  You can compare in details.Decide what's your priority: Good English? Happy school life? Go to Oxridge? Convenient location or small town?  Low school fee?  Academic ranking? the quality of the peers? Safety?
Happy school life is guaranteed here!  No pressure at all.  The assessments are not very easy but the teachers do not focus on the assessment result.  They use the assessments to identify how much do the student learn and understand.   They care about the students' attitude not the ability!
I like schools in London but I can't afford 30K a year!  
Wxxxxxx School is reasonable in price but majority boarders are from HK!
Cxxxxxxx School in Belfast is only 1+K but unsafe!  I can see the Belfast news every night here!
It's not an easy job to find a suitable school for our kids because (1) we love our children and worry a lot; (2) every kid is not the same.  Anyway, leave the children thousands miles from us is a hard decision.
