小女讀英文小學, 但成績一般,除有跳芭蕾舞(GRADE 4)及學鋼琴(未有考級)
各有經驗家長可否解答我疑難?

My son studied in a open, nice SKH government-aided school.  He was a band 1 student, very sportive - school teams for althetics, swimming, volley ball, basket ball, school prefect, no so musical, learned piano for a year, Erhu for a year, not taking any music examination.

He applied first round last year and suceeded.  There were separate interviews for him and for parents.  

Students had 3 parts interview
- Chinese in Putonghua, casual talking and discussed the 2 compositions he brought,
- English (some by NET teachers) asked students to read different level vocabularies, simple, medium and hard, my son reached the hard level. I am not sure if they have to discussed the 2 compositions he brought.
- Mathematics - ask him to figure out any mistakes in some statements, say 2 to the power 3 equals to 6,  the answer should be the statement is wrong, it should equal to 8,..etc (the question is in simple math form not in English).

Parent interview - nice talking, what's your son's strength and weakness, what's your parental belief, why you chose EC,..,

I knew some friends, failed 1st round, tried 2nd round (interviews again), then admitted as waiting list in 2nd round.  The 3rd round after government lucky draw results was much more demanding, limited places for many candidates, the 3rd round required written exam.

你好, 我小朋友是申請第二輪入學的! 他課外活動未有任何級別, 係冇報考. 面試內容同ECsPrayer描述差不多! 不過可以留意小朋友的強項或興趣,  我小朋友的科技素養是不錯, 我在面試亦有提及他在日常生活處境, 應用科技能力解難, 發掘問題, 提出解決方案, 例如: 修理小型家居擺設或工具, 協助管理屋企的內聯網(即是Disxxz個個討論組伺服器等), 盡量表示出你是了解, 明白, 愛護小朋友的!

我昨天看到你的提問, 我專程回校接小朋友放學, 看看環境, 希望給你最新信息!
1. 首先, 我印象是書院包括小學部和中學部, 06/07年只收外來生!
2. 昨天同一齊回校接放學家長傾, 佢個女讀得開心, 佢個女好喜歡參加課外活動, 仲同埋同學問校長, 再參加多些得唔得, 佢同d同學係校園走來走去找校長(個校園真係大, 有時都煩), 我覺得學生主動(要有勇氣及毅力去跳Level(即學生階層向上校長位置)溝通是好重要. 另外, 昨天, 我又問我個仔讀得開心嗎, 開心程度有否減少, 他說冇, 肯定咁講: 開心(個心字是讀左高音個隻 ), 學校係發揮到育人的理念的!
3. 恭喜你, 你個女有佢的興趣, 真好! 好好保存及發展啦! 我個仔學琴, 已考了第3級, 我鼓勵佢參加校際音樂節, 學校給佢機會參加, 等佢見下大場面 :
4. 學習環境仍然是一個字: "掂". 昨天因要帶野回家做, 所以帶埋手提電腦接仔, 係學校範圍是上到網, 現在d津校先計劃裝無線上網, 冇得比! 其他唔講啦, 因為剛才個d是親身經歷!
5. 學習風氣都係好, 佢地係9月分辨學生, 能力較強學生已協助外籍老師了, 能力稍弱學生係10月初已開始補習, 學校係發揮到教人的理念的!
