我當初都覺得太早，但我發現女女對音樂好敏感，咁啱有得試堂，於是一試。結果已完成了啟蒙課程，現在已上鋼琴班，都係短12堂嘅事。不過，真係要個小朋友對鋼琴有冇興趣同天份，硬來反而本末倒置！

如果小孩子真的有高天份,那就要設法找最好的老 師給她/他。將來改始終是一件痛苦的事.....

I am full time working mama and when I get home, it is already 8:30pm.  My kid is just 4 years old, how can I encourage him to practice piano during the week.  Actually, he has not started yet. Can some one please advise?  Thanks!

I'm a working mum and I am a PT piano teacher. My girl starts piano at 3yr and now 5yr passed Grade 4 piano with good result in May.
There is no limit for which yr to start music is good, it just depends on your born talent and the patience to practise. What most important is I always ask my students' parents to spend time practise or even talk about what they are practising with them but not just throw their kids to the music teacher and wait for the result to come out.
No one is a better teacher/tutor than the parents.

我已經全職教鋼琴和小提琴六年了，也收過三四歲的學生(但一定要家長closely follow，讓孩子盡早建立良好姿勢及定時練習)；但我始終建議待孩子大一點(5-6歲)時才開始會好好多。

三歲學小提琴對很多小朋友來說還是太早了。

因為拉小提琴需要很多方配合才行，不只是頭腦明白，身體的協調亦很重要。有少少像小朋友用筷子吃飯那樣，有些人可能三歲就懂，但一般還是5歲後才教。早學會不代表能力高些，只是各人身體發展的時間不一樣。

小提琴有很多微細動作會影响拉出來的音樂好不好聽，早開始，有時候就要忍耐。小朋友仍在成長，有些技巧即使怎努力亦未必做到。就好似叫三歲小朋友去摺衫那樣。

其實在這段時期讓小朋友多接觸音樂，聽多些不同類型的樂曲，對他將來一定有好處的！聽得夠多，到他學那些歌時就會“似曾相識”，快上手好多的。

三歲實在太細了,何不先讓孩子參加一些音樂班或親子音樂活動。
過二年還不是重新開始!用甚麼size琴,太細作玩具無妨。
還有誰肯教、教甚麼才是最重要。

if feel the child is too young for violin, can wait till he or she goes to primary school. schools usually encourage students to pick up at least one music instrument at P1.

囝囝3歲半時想學小提琴問左好多琴行太細冇老師肯教最後搵左私人
