My daughter studied there since she was 18 months. I felt the concept of Montessori is good and I can see my daughter has noticeable difference in terms of discipline, knowledge and she can now communicate in English with no major difficulties. (She is now 30 months)

Most of the parents like the school very much. My only comment is it is anyway a new school, there is still rooms for improvement particularly in administration.

I do not think it has problem either you decided to go for International or traditional stream (but if you go for traditional stream, you may need to pay a bit effort on the hard knowledge at home)

hi yuenszewing,

Will you let your girl to study in IMS primary?  Why?

I heard that around half of students will join IMS primary after completed Casa de bambini.  Some of them will choose ISF.

Is it easy to transfer from IMS to other IS (e.g. ESF, CAIS, KCIS, etc)?

Thank you.

hi mossma,

Sorry I'm not sure as my kid only joined Woodland reception class (K2).  The school fee for last year is $5,900 per month.  I have no hesitation to recommend this school (Pokfulam campus) to you.

You have 2 sons? I noticed once of yr son studying in Victoria wor.

That's great! For sure I'll apply Pakfulam campus because school time and location are very fit to us. And I wonder to join the Woodland playgroup at scenic Villas. Wow~ big increase, this year is 6400/month.

Both schools are not bad.  But I prefer Woodland as I want my kid to study in IS primary & secondary.

As my kid studied bilingual class in Victoria, so he studied monolingual class (english only) in Woodland.

You can call the school supervisor Mr. Mark Western, he can give you the details and he is very helpful.  I think he will recommend bilingual class to you.

Hi Yuenszewing,

My child studied at IMS during summer. I really like its discipline. My child also has some positve changes during a short period of time. I want to know whether my child can learn speaking Mandarin and English if he continues to study there.

The reason I asked is that I only saw the teachers speak during the 15 mins circle time. I wonder whether my child's language exposure is enough.

To answer some of the questions:
1. Hard knowledge referring to alphebets, maths
etc. because IMS will not delibrately teach
these, they encourage students to learn
    through daily life.
2. I would prefer my daughter to stay with Casa
in IMS and if possible continue study in CIS,
GSIS or IFS. Knowing these schools are really
difficult to get in. If not, I will go back to
    traditional school.
3. About mandarin, in the toddlers class, there
are 2 teachers, one Mandarin and one English.
They communicate in their master language
throughout the class and I noticed even the
   expat. children can understand Mandarin.
