各位媽媽,我想了解你為什麼選擇國際學校而不考慮傳統學校.我以前從未想過讓小兒讀國際學校.現他讀傳統學校K1.一想到中小學的教學模式.一班幾十人.老師負責講書,(我覺得不是教書).小朋友坐定定.遊雲又好,發呆又好.老師都理唔到.放學去補習班.我就開始想考慮其他教學模式.
各位媽媽,可否告訴我,
1.如標題
2.國際學校的教學模式
3.同學的背景
4.師生比例
5.老師耐心

2.國際學校的教學模式 ==> 我相信各校都有不同風格, 有嚴有寬
3.同學的背景=> 咪重覆習, 來自五湖四海, 但相信有錢交$10K,或以上係子女學習身上既family, 都係差吾多嗰類.
4.師生比例: 通常1-3年級, 2:25, or more mom helper.  4-6年級, 1:25.
5.老師耐心, 嘩, 各人有各人風格, 老師都係, 過我信小班教學, 老師壓力少D, 耐心多D

我們認同學習要主動及互動，背讀抄寫，求學只是求分數的傳統學校，我不buy這套會令自己小兒得到最好的學習環境，所以昂貴的學費我倆夫婦的經濟壓力下也將自己小兒轉了去讀國際學校，我覺得大家生活開心了及小兒反而喜歡發問有趣問題，他亦喜歡學習，更多時間閱讀，英文程度及創作力明顯進步，平日及假期多了時間做運動及參與其他活動。生活的平衡最重要，不要只顧默書、測驗和考試。

–分錢一分貨，全用native speaker and qualification 教師，中文巳普通話教授，學校採用小班教學1:28 也有很多家長義工幫手陪讀及協肋出外Field trip， 一個月起碼跳出班房外探搜大自然及參觀museum等等.....連我自已也增值不少。起初祖父母也擔心他的操行會差咗，但我也去學校參加義工家長，所見班中紀律非常好，而老師比很多空間他們發表意見。我不是hardsell而是開心地和大家分享自已的意見。

Hi leeleelee,

What a happy school life!  I am so envy.  

Is it easy for a chinese fit into the int'l school life cos culture and english standard are difference.  Besides, the english of me and my hubby are so so.     

can u tell me which school is your kid in?

Dear Joernontreal,

起初他真是不適應，但小孩子適應所能强，我在他一歲巳每天陪讀英文書及中文書給他聽，他已可以自己閱讀及做自己的功課。萬事起頭難，只要家長陪伴他們渡過，沒有東西是不可能的。加油!

當然中文會退步了，現他較喜歡閱讀英文書，但你選國際學校前要考慮清楚自己的小兒及家人適合那類型的學校??????/?

他是完成小一才轉讀IS

他是我們第一位兒子，也希望可以讀學費較平的本地私校，讀了一年本地學校後發覺不適合我們，所以才上綱找到現在的IS。理由很難說明，有很多小朋友讀本地學校都很開心也有讀IS也轉回本地學校。我不喜歡背抄寫太多，求學只求分數的學校，我比較buyIS的教學方法。

Hi, May I ask did you boy adpat the style of teaching in IS? did he catch up the English level after change from local to IS? for me, I prefer put my girl into a local "english" kinder first in order to learn some basic Chinese, is it easy and possible to get a change to IS after she completed 3 years of learning in local kinder? thx for advise~~

Hi!

He is fine in the new International school, of course the teacher said he will improved in the future, he is good at spelling in the class, he have confidence to speak and talk in the class, but sometime he cann't understood all question, he was getting better and better. He was study in the local kindergarten. His kinder. is not strong in English but I read the book for him everyday and my maid helps him the speaking skills. Now he is the one to reading the book for me. English is good, it is easy to enter the IS.

同埋家長係唔係成日都要返學校做義工架呢 ?
如果俾小朋友讀國際校係唔係家長嘅英文都要好叻架呢 ?
因本人是在職媽咪 , 如讀國際學校的話家長是否也需要每晚幫小朋友溫習功課呢 ?

no need in good english but all notice and e-mail are all in english.

the kid need to read the book everyday, and homework not much, he can managed by himself.

it is great and now it is more popular IS, I trust the school will be better and better in the future, I like the school, my choice is right. my son like the school so much.
