I don't know many schools, but I did visit several schools myself. I would say no school is one-size-fit-all. The combination of academic level, history of school, % of boarders, % of international students, location, personal contact with registration officer, teachers, housemaster/housemistress and principal, and chance of admission will make the difference. The facilities are quiet similar for typical British independent schools. I will focus on teachers and school policy. Students are much benefitted by high-value-added schools. It means schools are not just looking for academically successful students, but above average students and stretch them to their limit. |
