May I ask what's your daughters predicted grades?
I personally would  choose 5 different universities, not sure why you picked 3.

Queen Mary is under Russell group but ranking is not high and the U is in London that means everything is going to be expensive.

A lot of universities do not take Chinese Language and Liberal Studies into account.  I would advise you to go to the U's website and look at their requirements.  You can apply any u's in the UK not just the traditional ones.  You better start researching because the deadline is on 15th Jan.  

As for insurance I would recommend you to apply some foundation courses for you daughter.

As there is only one personal statement, it is better to choose one preferred course and apply 5 different U's instead.  Many higher ranking U's in UK only look at the 3 optional DSE subjects which they consider to be equivalent to A2 standard.

Among the 5 UCAS choices, at least reserve 3 choices for the followings:
1. Dream choice - e.g. stretching the predicted grade by a couple of scores
2. Natural/preferred choice - best fit with predicted grade
3. Insurance choice - the (historical) conditional offer must be a couple of scores below predicted grade
For the 2 spare choices, you may consider to put more weight on other factors like location, cost, environment, composition of student population, etc.

多謝你意見, 我和女兒對海外大學一無所知, 只想報定UCAS當安全網. 佢學校還未有predi ...

有2點想一提：

1. predict grades ：2015 hkdse學生，如自行報ucas，你的 predict grades 須由你提供的諮詢人(多數是自己老師)在網上提供，如經認可agent報ucas則由agent看過你的成績表後可代你predict grades報上去或要求你就讀的學校出封包括predict grades的reference letter由agent代為upload上去。

2. uk 大學出的conditional offer絕大多數都只要求3個dse 選修科成績。但見你女兒讀的三個electives其中一個是visusl arts，除非報讀uk大學的科目是和designs或其他藝術相關科目，否則有好有可能唔計呢科。這樣有個危機就是無法拼合3科成績而未必取得offer。還有時間，最好先到認可的agent問一問為上算。

三間大學，各有不同：Queen Mary College 位於London 東部，屬於普通平民區，在倫敦大學多間學院中，不算是第一線，但學術水平不算低。Exeter University 位於英國西南部，環境不錯，受中產家庭歡迎，聲譽不俗。Kent University 位於歷史古城，周邊也很好，學生比Exeter U 的純樸D。

也許你女兒是以IB或A level報UCAS，那我就不太清楚了。但如果是以2015 HKDSE成績報的話，應該都只是計算三個選修科目。
我女兒報了5間不同大學，已收了4間conditional offer，都是要求"3 subjects obtaining 554 to 555 plus mathematics at least level 4, and specify excluding chinese language, liberal studies."

Ahead, you have to go to the u's website yourself.  We can't answer all the questions for you when you can do it yourself.  Each U's have their own requirements.  Stop asking questions and search now.
