Can anyone share? Which one is stronger in academic level? I'm going to apply for their kinder this year.
If my target is RC after kinder, should I try to get in ESF anyway? I'm planning to send my son to USA in tertiary education and are concerned about Chinese language proficiency.
For ESF parents, do you know if there will be school visit?

I am facing the same problem as well, I want to let my son study in ICS kinder( learn more bible) and then change to SJS(ESF)...
For kidsborn in 2000, quite a no. not studied in ESF kinder did not have the chance for interview in SJS, etc. But it was lucky that there was still RC.
Mindful that there is WKS ESF kinder now.
it will not be a happy experience to be placed in the waiting list w/o a chance of interview or having the interview at a v. late stage.
even the principal of YMCA kinder was frank enough to tell the applicants that if they are not in Cat. 1, the chance to ve interview for ESF primary will be slim.
one of my fds who's boy is studying in THINK now was not offered the chance to ve interview in both ESF primary and RC. :(
Thanks bukusensei. That means, if my target is RC primary, then I need to get in ESF kinder first because the chance of getting in RC is comparatively slim even if I'm in ICS kinder?

Because I live in Fo Tan, ICS is closed to my house...and my son can learn bible from ICS....After reviewing your comment,I think I need to choose ESF kinder....no choice

the revised debenture policy together w/ the ~6% increase of school fee in the coming academic year made the total school fee [including the to be wholly depreciated debenture] (not counting other expenses) for the whole 15 years of education to around 1.4 million (at present value only), which if compared to the previous redeemable debenture and school fee level for 2009-10, is around 22% increase of school fee!

I fully understand the reason for the drastic increase in the debenture and school fee, but I cannot foresee how rapid the rate will be in the coming years.
Do you guys still recall the debenture jumped from 60,000 to 190,000 in 08 academic year?
I am thinking whether ICS forsees the financial difficulty in future though 190K is not really big amount comparing with other IS.
The depreciation means higher school fee to be paid which may not be that worthy though it has high reputation.
