問聖若望英文書院（小學部）英語教學科目情況

我想問各位, 聖若望英文書院（小學部）英文科係 Native English Teacher 教? 另外除了英文科, 有幾多科係真正用英語教, 即係唔係粵語教學但英文教材? 謝謝回答!

As you can see from one of the comments posted under another topic, same here, according to the book store staffs, this school has most English books among many Primary Schools (Text & Work books, gramma, phonics, and reading/story books), although the new school principal has cut/reduced some. All text and workbooks are in English except for 中文and General Studies, they are taught in English plus Chinese explanations where necessary (I believe currently there is only one Native English teacher, at least for my sons' grade).  Hope this helps.

For the English subject, there are sub-topics (e.g. Literature, English Reading, English Composition, etc,) the Native English Teacher teaches the English Readig only (I only know for my sons' grade though). Although my sons don't have a good/native command of speaking English, my sons' overall English level improved a lot after studying at this school, because all assisgnments have to be answered in English except for Chinese and General Studies, and another important reason is that there are quite a few Indian classmates who only speak English.  One major problem with the school is that there had been so many bad-mouthings about this school in recent years resulting in big damages to its goodwill and therefore its ability to admit better students and teachers. This school was a very famous top private school in years like 2007...and I like the books/worksheets which are still being used by this school, just need more supports for the school to recover its teaching power and student base. I wish my comments are fair in the sense that not just the problematic aspects but also the positive sides of the school are seen by the parents. The school is trying to repair its goodwill, I wish it can become better and go back to one of the top schools like it was in its glorious past.
