For students starting Y12 (to study A Level) in Sep this year (thus taking A Level exam at end of Y13 in 2017), some of the subjects (e.g. Phy, Chem, Bio and others) will undergo A Level reforms.  Under the reform, amongst other things, AS exam results are detached from A Level exam results, ie AS exam results will not make up part of the A Level exam marks as in the past.  Some subjects e.g. Maths, will undergo the reforms only at a later stage.

My daughter's school will also continue to enrol students to sit for AS exam for the same reason as CSFC.  You need to check with your school to see whether they will still go for AS or go straight to GCE A level.
