Nobody will have a definite answer. We may have to ask the rich guys living in Hong Lok Yuen of Tai Po, who are in the neighbourhood of such power lines.
When people are talking about risks, they really should look around:
1. electro-magnetic waves are everywhere, high frequency or not
2. even if you don't turn on the TV or radio, the emissions from the TV or radio broadcasters will reach you virtually everywhere
3. even if you don't have or don't use a note book computer, Wi Fi stations are everywhere and are expanding rapidly
4. if you happen to use a router at home or office, think about how they transmit data
5. a lot has been said about hand phone, do we really follow the suggested precautions or did we use less of it?
This is a question which cannot be answered. To get the least electromagnetic pollution so to speak, one may have to move to more primitive cities or just stay away from any cities.
But back to square one, is electromagnetic radiation/emission really affecting health? If yes, how bad is it? If it is so bad, why is the government not stopping it? If it is so dangerous, why is the power supply company not doing anything to it? Would it be the same if the high voltage electric supply is underground and unseen? Or is it different? Shall we stay home all the time for the better health? ...
So many questions unanwered. Shall we worry about being run over by cars and stay at home? It is a personal option.
There is no right or wrong here. It is a matter of choice, or no choice.
Well, whatever. Enough said. |
