KJS vs RC (URGENT! Please help!!)

My daughter already secured a place in KJS and we had paid the deposit already ($35,000).  RC then invited her to a second round interview and she got in too!

Any advice on which one to choose?  Please help!!

My girls also got in to KJS and RC. But we choose KJS, give up RC.  
The reason is very simple, We ask our girls which school they like it most, they said KJS.

The only thing I am still debating with my hubby is I have heard RC had a better Chinese standard. Do u think so?

KJS will move to HungHom this May.  You may also consider if your daughter like the new environment.

KJS had told us that the campus in Perth Street will be demolished and rebuilt. New campus will be ready in two years. In the meantime, they have borrowed Hung Hom Government Primary School old campus.

U are right! I am also a bit worried about the borrowed campus too!

frankly, i will not ONLY rely on my kid to choose which school they like.  Education is an important issue and it is not the same as just asking the kids to pick a white dress or a pink dress.  
Of course I will also take into consideration whether they like the school or not.  But as a parent, i will also consider other factors (which the kids will not be able to consider by themselves), say, the campus facilities, the language standard, the program (foundation secondary school is not providing through train IB for the time being, dunno the situation after 6 years), the school location etc.  
It is hard to say which school is better, but at least i think we parents should try to think what is the best and most important to your kid :)

I have asked around and it seems KGV, the secondary section of KJS, have a longer reputation. Also, KGV has very good IB results in recent years.

Pls bear in mind that KGV is not secondary section of KJS, it's based on the catchment zone, just same as primary school allocation.

Yes, we knew RC had a better Chinese standard, but still not as good as local school.

My girl is a Eurasian kid and the only kid! We live in HMT.

Do u know when I need to get her uniform? I will be going to UK for a month in July. So, hoping to know more about the arrangement for year 1 students.

Hi Sharpeywife, as I know from my sis-in-law the uniform shop will open a week before the new school year commences (tentatvely on 23/8 this year). She suggests our getting the uniforms after summer as kids may grow tall throughout months.
I think you may get more information from KJS in June since they've sent the parents an invite for the Y1 parents open day.
