My comment is made from the receiver's point of view. I find that those from international schools are more confident and mature. If Chinese is not an issue, they will definitely get the job.
try to think think those could not bear the pressure and committed suiside were usually from local schools...it seems that nothing shows that "國際學校學生難適應香港社會"...
Students graudated from local schools (LS) are used to spoon-fed education learning mode. They learn thro recitation, tips and "superstar" tutorial class etc. They are more inclined to learn according to an established sterotype.
On the other hand, IS students learn thro playing (in early stage), lots and lots of reading, research, project and presentation etc. They are more inclined to solve problems by themselves.
The real society is a place where u have to face and solve problems all the time. There is no established sterotype.
When the student go to work in the society after graduation, who do u think can better adopt to the real world ?
Local graduates 只識背誦 +操卷, even they get 科科100分, 現今社會最需要的 critical thinking, problem solving skills 一樣都無, 英文又唔夠人好,我恐怕他們ended up是最不能適應extremely competative 的香港社會!
as i am a big fan of IS, i consider to plan my 2 years child to IS too, but worry about the chinese proficiency (reading and written). as i am awared that chinese is one of the most difficult language to learn, child at IS may not able to learn chinese well (of course i know IS such as CIS, SIS can provide good learning enviornment for chinese but not easy to get in )
