Is MEng better than BEng when applying for Chartered Engg in HK?
Any difference between UK and Aust Civil Engg in the eyes of HK employers?

Which U depends, the head of engineering (one of interviewers) knew about this, and will not only focus the graduates they come from (neither  England nor Australia).

sure.  HKU  maybe the best u in HK, but in engineering, HKU is not the first choice.

如果能入 Imperial College  London / Oxford / Cambridge 相信都冇咩爭議

Sheffield Civil Eng IB 37 QS ranked 47 MEng-4 years.
Which one you will choose if they offer?

You mean fresh graduates or experienced engineers ?
For fresh graduates, employers may prefer UK.

For experienced engineers, pretty level, focus more on years experience and track records.

It involves personal judgement, say the origin of your passport, educational funding, weather (London vs. Sydney) especially for some kids with weak body,  personal perception about the reputation between U of two countries, emigration reason, preference between 老牌 vs. 後起之秀, and most important one is the choice from your son/daughter. They are smart enough to make their choice.

Difference in weighted ratio for each of the above element will have different result.

You should agree that universities of Australia make big improvement in teaching quality & research as well as their Ranking in either QS or THE for past ten years.

如果在英國只讀一年半戴top up degree 或Master，我衷心恭喜佢，但你仲有幾年讀，英磅貶值,  購買力下跌 很難保大學唔加學費，生活費又升，到時洗濕咗個頭點算？ 而且非一線大學脱歐後會有機會收生困難(例如少了來自歐盟國家嘅學生), 我都驚佢哋會濫收學生，影響教學及學生質素。
