What qualifications are needed for Non-Jupas

If a HK student wants to return from UK to study in a university at Hong Kong, I understand the student has to go through non-jupas stream.
Apart from IELTS, what other qualifications are required for non-jupas ?
Is it also a must to have Chinese A-level passed or GCSE passed is already fine.

Any parents would share their experience ?

不一定must,但可以報，任何成績可上報，接不接受個別考慮，因有可能是中文授課的。之前成績大學一定會問，如果gcse真好好+AS(校內成績因現新制)，個別考慮下，有offer

I understand from HKU Open Day Non-Jupas information section that GCSE Chinese is already good enough to qualify as a second language requirement.  In fact it doesn't have to be Chinese.  Any language other than English will do.
