Really really bad. I don't believe ISF received more applications than other famous schools like SIS, CDNIS which they can handle all the applications with reasonable amount of time. My daughter 's interview was held in early Dec. No update has been received from the school until now.
Just called ISF. They said the Admission Committee meeting has not taken place yet, so the admission office has no idea when the final letter will be out. The speculation period will be end of March or early April. December interviews were first interview. 2nd interview took place in February and March.
So, it takes 4 months to complete the entire admission process. It does not really need that much time to assess and this is just a planned task. It really showed bad management. I know some parents have ESF offers and needed to pay ESF the deposit fees to secure the place, as they have not heard any results from ISF.
Honesty, I am losing interest in getting into this school.
I agreed how you felt. I am not affiliated to the school at all. To be fair, the time for final result was mentioned again during the 1st interview, excluding the schedule posted in the school's webpage. The staff during the parents meeting said the earliest would be late March. So, why are parents so surprised now that the result is not out yet?
Also, unlike other schools, ISF has a second interview for kids that pass the 1st interview. This is why it takes more time than usual. I guess if one has no 2nd interview, probably the chance of getting admitted is slim.
If talked about ESF, the deposit is paid up before the ISF 2nd interview begins. Again, it is not comparing apple to apple. I understood it was a waste of deposit, but that's life. You cannot expect every school to issue final results at the same time.
Hang in there if ISF is still your ideal school for your kids.
That's good, more chances giving to those parents who are more determined to send their kids to ISF. If you think ISF is just another school for your kid's backup education plan, it is probably not a school for you.
