CKY - academic levels

Would like to learn more about CKY curriculum and school climate.
It is possible for students from international or private schools (e.g. creative primary, VSA, Kingston)  to switch to CKY? Is CKY's Chinese, English and math much harder than those mentioned schools?

I don’t have kids studying at the other schools you mentioned, cannot comment on the level comparison’. But at CKY, we do see insertion students from VSA and Creative Primary. Not sure about Kingston.

If you are preparing for the insertion, I heard from inserted students that writing skill is very important; but Chinese and English. Good luck to you!

What is the Chinese requirement for insertion for Y4?Do they expect the same level chinese as local school?

Currently Y3 is learning two types of Chinese writing: 1. Diary; and 2. 記敍文（eg 記一次 xxx的經驗）。I don’t know what local school is teaching in Y3, but school expects kids can write the piece independently, using appropriate vocabulary as well as good sentence structures.
