It is great news indeed!  Do you know if it is the same student or several different students?  I think it was Princeton, Brown and Cornell.

I'm more excited by the offers from Williams College (which still reigns as the lone No. 1 among all US liberal arts colleges) and Parsons School of Design (one of the most prestigious art and design universities in the world, probably more difficult to get in than Oxbridge).  

By the way, seems that ISF students are more geared towards US universities (they take Explore, Plan, Pre-SAT, SAT and ACT, etc. in the upper grades, not IGCSE).

From ISF's latest circular:

Am familiar with the small liberal arts schools like Amherst and Williams but not the art ones.  How does Parson compare with RISD?

Thank you for pointing out Williams and Parson.  They are indeed tougher to get in than some of the Ivies.  Am excited to see kids applying to these different types of programs as opposed to just Ivy Leagues or brand name schools well recognized by HK parents.  Hope these types of diversity continues.  With these results, I also hope there will be less students transferring out.

The shcool and teachers work hard for the achievement too.  What I heard is many teachers are having phD degree in upper school and the career consulants are excellent.   I believe the results are getting better continuously.

I am not familiar with UK universities so will just work off of the Times 2013 rankings of top 10.
There are no Oxbridge but there are admissions to LSE, Durham, St Andrews, UCL, Warwick, Bath and Exeter and many are more than one admission (though of course not sure what the conditions of the offer are).

Do you know how does this stack up?

That's also impressive!  The only point is that a bright student may receive multiple offers from top Us around the world.  The next stage is to look at the actual U placement later this year.

Not sure how true it is but am told that the majority of ISF students tend to prefer US colleges.  (This is consistent with my own observation: most of the ISF parents I know are themselves graduates from US colleges and prefer US system.)

Is it possible that a few elite students got offers from these schools since they applied to all of them? I'm more interested in the actual university placements and not just offers.
Does anyone know how does this compare to CIS? My sister is planning to apply her kids to ISF and CIS and wants to know more! Thanks!

Oxbridge 相对是比较难入的,

近年行程是尖子喜欢去美国ivy leagues(钱是次要) , 因此一流一学生去左美国, 再者美国ivy leagues 有alumni legacy, 即阿爸阿妈是旧生, 孩子入学机会由5% 提升为25%, 你是父母自然飞身吧!

有妈妈好紧张问我点解佢间super IS 今年无一个入读HKU medicine, 系唔系我地考得差, 入唔到! 我话梗系唔系, 你个间的靓仔靓妹劲,志不在此, 认识两为高材生, 一个打算去德国读engineering, (将来要design飞机), 另一个要做astronaut , 这些孩子成绩再高, 也不是留港读医的人.

顺带一提, ISF & CIS 大量是美国ivy leagues alumni parents, 自然提高学生入学百分率, 其他家庭勿误解为是因为成绩好的必然现象来解读.

No one knows yet since the placements won't be finalized for a bit.  I think many parents are also eager to find out.

I have heard the same comments before.  Some of the schools doing well in placement is because of donation/connection and legacy.  I don't have exact statistics but I suspect 10-25% of ISF families with at least one  parent from an Ivy League school, especially if you include graduate and business schools.
