Let me try......
1. Mandarin is the medium in teaching Chinese. There is a separate mandarin lesson each week.
2. Generally good. Phonics/ Oral/ Listening lessons each week.
3. All schools have rules and regulations. I think the moral standard is high in KTS b'cos the headmistress and teachers pay attention not only to the academic standard of the students but also their moral standard. One e.g. Every time when the inter-school sports competition ends, the very first thing the teacher asks the students to thank all parents who attend the event, then to thank the coach(es), then the teacher praises the students for their effort (no matter if they win or not) and then last to revise the results and how to do better next year. It gives out a message that winning is not the most important thing in the competition( of course they still try their best to win). It's a daily life trainning. The teachers have high moral standard influence the students on a daily basis.
4. They are nice and loving.
5. 40 students in P.1 classes only. Less students in P.2 classes onward. Besides, there are P.1 prep classes during summer holiday, most of them are trained to behave and can adapt P.1 school life smoothly.
6. The headmistress and the teachers believe that all kids have their own advantages and shortcomings. They appreciate the students to work hard on what they are good at and yet try to improve what they are weak at. All students have they aims and targets but seldom compare with the others (as they are all good at diff. things, very hard to compare).
Hope it helps.
