I noticed not much discussion about Australian International School Hong Kong (AISHK) in this forum.Can anyone share your experience with AISHK primary or secondary section?How is the discipline of students and their academic performance in general? Good or bad comments are welcome..Thx....

Oh...I'm so surprised to see no response so far....Just wondering could it be because students in AISHK are mostly native English speakers and so their parents are not members in BK forum??

I also want to know more about AISHK. I am planning to have my daughter ( now in local school) either switching to AISHK or going to Australia to further her studies in a year or two.

I heard Prep class is usually very full and have a long waitlist. Anyway, are you taking the offer?

Congratulations!! The existing school must've written a great report on your child and that your child is doing well in school.
We have also applied for AISHK since Jan this year for the admission to their youngest class in 2015 (my kid was born Nov 2010). I have heard, however, that some teachers got fed up with some mainland parents who couldn't communicate with the teachers in English and quit teaching in AISHK, and these kids may pull down the school's performance.

When you are there can you verify if there are lots of mainland parents there? I am sure it's just an individual case but I'd like to know what the student body is really like. Anyhow once your child is in one IS you can easily hop to another one in the further (say mid-primary), so don't worry if there's any concerns when you're there. Enjoy!!
