I have got children in both. It depends on your child. My older one started with ICA. She has been with ICA since Y1. Then we got an offer at the beginning of Y3. She was transferred to ESF at the beginning of Y3. ESF's class size is too big for her. After 2 months, we transferred her back to ICA. She is much happier and learns much more.
Our younger one started with ICA at Y1, got an offer from ESF for Y2, transferred there last August and stayed (all because of secondary). He has better concentration, and his personality is less sensitive, so ESF or ICA are both OK.
I have been a parent helper at ESF in my older one's class. The teacher can only give you so much time with 30 children, and some younger children really need more attention. I am not religious myself, but I can feel that ICA's religious background helps to enforce discipline and the school generally emphasizes on better behavior than ESF.
