Placement Year

英國有啲課程有Placement Year, 據我所知, placement 都要自己揾, 唔係guarantee, 唔知海外生難唔難揾。大家可否分享經驗或意見?

好看成績及面試表演，朋友孩子讀law,成績算好，經學校揾工，夠交生活及宿舍費，回港入國際大行做實習生，好似有５萬人工

自己搵工的意思只是由apply, send CV, interview, offer自己處理 。不是大海撈針，因為該些公司要經學校登記認可，我收到offer 都有8-10份由僱主及學校發出的信三方要確認。

但學校為免學生漁翁撒網，只可一份apply, 唔接受offer, 放番個位出來，然後才可apply 第二份。

我仔是year 2 placement, 之後仍有兩年讀大學，我覺得安排上很明確定到位。之前叫仔不如focus這方面，Training 期間發現自己在某方便有長處，呀頭會專登比該行業的特別報告他處理。有些實習中遇到的經歴，我工作以來亦未遇到。我們可以交流心得。他選了是香港上市國際集團式公司，英國的公司全是外國人管理，今年是學得最多東西的一年，英文更加地道。

請問貴公子placement是optional或個course係with one year placement ?
因Newcastle個placement係optional．我見好似要在placement year前再申請Visa.

在UCAS申請時，我們已經選了with placement year，同科目有些大學是optional，看你怎apply，所以student visa 一早比with placement year。

Cardiff都有offer, Cardiff是sandwich course． 因收成180人, 其他大學約50人, 所以都 ...

sandwich course是課堂教學和工作—起？

"Work placements/international opportunities
Students are encouraged to undertake a voluntary summer project in industry or a research laboratory. Recent locations for overseas summer projects have included Beijing, Zhejiang, Tokyo, Bochum, Krakow, Santa Barbara and Boston.

A voluntary industrial tour to an overseas destination is organised in most Easter holidays. Recent destinations include China, Sweden, Italy, Poland and Ontario."

I suppose it means it is optional and probably no-pay??
